@steamboat: may I ask what's your country? perhaps I overread it.

I'm very interested in your ready-to-run miner and about to preorder chips
and straight looking forward to any numbers about approx. lead time after
chip arrival or end pricing.

I am located in Florida, USA. Miner assembly will take place in the US to reduce turn-around time. Initial numbers for fab assembly of a full batch are ~10 days for a full batch.
Please note: Shipping from the manufacturer to me, and from me to the end user will add to the timeline. Do not use these numbers as a final date for delivery.

Sounds quite good! Thank you.

Just checking that I have read all the threads correctly, and we are on the same page.

I would like to order 100 chips. 8.6BTC.

At the moment, this is the price for the chips alone.

Hopefully steamboat can soon offer assembly of the chips into ready to go miners. (By this, I mean that I download the software, join a pool, and , plug in the miners, and i'm ready to go.)

This could cost as much as the cost of the chips ie another 8.6 BTC.

If all this is correct, i'm ready to go, and will send payment soon.

Thanks for your time and effort in answering all these questions, I'm sure it takes a lot of time.

Thanks

Adam

Steamboat is the only one providing assembly?

I believe there are some members looking into providing assembly, but to my knowledge this is the only thread that will be offering chips and assembly.

As anxious as all of you are to get pricing and timelines, know that I am just as eager to finalize everything. The moment I know I will post the details. For now, all I can offer is that my budget is no more than the chip cost for a completely assembled miner. It appears this will be the price, but I want to be 100% sure of the price, company, timeline, etc. before I make anything official.

Thank you Adam, it does. I cannot stress enough the importance of reading the OP thoroughly before emailing me. It takes a considerable amount of time to address questions that have already been addressed in the thread.

If/when then first 5000 chips of batch to sell out, are you willing to open the other 5000 chips to people to buy?   Was hoping to get 3-400 but been delayed on collecting the rest of the required BTCs

I apologise if you've already addressed this, but if you're building ready-to-mine devices, how many chips per device should I order? I wouldn't want to order a bunch only to find that after assembly there were some left over.

From what i can gather, multiples of 16 if Steamboat gets the board the Klondike (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.msg2107193#msg2107193)  from BBKcoins

1000 of my chips from batch 2 are now available.

I had, but apparently it was lost in OP versions. Chip purchases should be based on the Klondike platform. In the event the chips per board number changes, I will buy/sell enough chips from my personal to make a full board.

Interesting, that's 452 orders between them right there... There might be a lot of these chips in the wild, i don't think there's anything besides the 10k chips you can buy on their website that would count as an order number either?

If every single one of those is 10k chips.  That is 1274.64 Terahash/second

And BTC352,560. I can't comment on their order numbering system as I don't know what it is. It's possible they sold 452 batches, and anyone who is interested in purchasing chips should do their homework before purchasing.

Dang thats $35,000,000+ Avalon is racking up some serious cash for being the first company to complete making their Asics. I wonder if some of those orders are from people/companies planning on making a bitcoin mining warehouse to control percents of the network. Whatever it is, difficulty will skyrocket.
