Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Will you test the K-16 prior to shipping?
If my calculation is good I can run 256 chips (16 K-16) on a 850w power supply?

Managed to scrape together coin for another dozen, hoping to get the final twelve for three complete boards before the chips run out!

I totally agree but I just wanted a cost analysis.
Honestly, I would prefer 4 x K16 over a K64 for redundancy purposes.
I agree with this as well. The cost savings from having four boards paneled does not equal the expense of replacing/repairing 4 boards in the event of a failure. That being said, once we get closer to the Fab date, with working prototypes being burned, The K64 will be revisited. The K1 is still there as well. I'm deciding on the best way to approach the manufacturer about this. Will you test the K-16 prior to shipping?
If my calculation is good I can run 256 chips (16 K-16) on a 850w power supply?
Yes. Testing will be an available option. The details have not yet been worked out. Depending on the process, it may be done in house or buy us back at the shop. More on that to come, but it will be available. hi can i reserve 32 chips for a few days until i get the total btc? i'm lacking less than one
Chips are available on a first come, first serve basis. im in for 128 chips, is it smarter to get 8 K16's or 2 K64's? what will this group buy support? I'll go with whatever, same hash rate, as long as the assembly is the same
See above. K16's are smarter, though possibly a few cents more expensive. The OP will be updated today, with more information released. To clarify in the interim: Board hosting will be offered. Prices tentatively set at 8% plus electricity. Board assembly will be offered. Prices tentatively set at below $60.00. Assembly runs will begin once the minimum amount of chips has arrived for each run. Assembly is available to those who did not purchase through this thread, though delays will increase final ship time. All purchases received, recorded replied. If you have any questions, please post them here or in PM.

Board assembly will be offered. Prices tentatively set at below $60.00.
Just to clarify- Does this cover the cost of everything besides the chips to have a functioning board? If so that is great news. I was budgeting closer to $100 per board, looks like I'll be buying more chips...

Additionally, these chips will be processed in a FIFO cue, which will begin once the minimum board run quota has been reached.
Strongly considering sending you chips from other group buys, are you able to specify the minimum board run quota?
