Japanese Airlines to accept bitcoins soon

This is not a surprise considering the mass adoption of bitcoins by the Japanese. Tx confirmations need to improve for retailers like airline to be comfortable accepting bitcoins in short notice , otherwise I for see them refusing it as payment,  if the delays continue at the current rate. Despite a volatile past week, in which it fell by more than $400 in a few hours on thursday, it still rose on the day, Thanks to the Japanese and South Koreans.

Yes indeed, not surprising to begin with. They have put bitcoin as legal tender in their country so it makes sense for Japanese that want to travel to used bitcoin as alternative to Yen. What will benefit here is bitcoin enthusiast like us who are going to travel or may have used Japanese airlines to used bitcoin as mode of payment for the tickets. I think retailers in Japan will not complain about the increasing transaction fee's since again its legal tender for them.

It seems that japan is loving bitcoin and they are all having a good income with bitcoin and they are starting to fully implement bitcoin to their country and their airlines already accepting bitcoin. I hope that other countries will do the same just like Japan so they can also get the advantage of bitcoin and they can all boost their earnings because of the rapid growth of bitcoin.

We all need more good news for Bitcoin because for every establish that is linking with Bitcoin it can represent a vote of approval and usage for this currency. And it can soon create an avalanche for other players to come in and also enjoy the Bitcoin party. However, if am holding some Bitcoin I may not be using them to buy anything for now because it is getting harder (especially here) to get hold of Bitcoin.

According to this article, Japanese Budget Airlines are going to accept bitcoins this year. They declared that later this year we can now enjoy flights without bringing our wallets but our bitcoins in our smartphones. As part also of their new innovation they have installed BTMs or Bitcoin ATM on the airport for the convenience of their customers. With this we can expect an increase in tourist visits to Japan.

It would seem like Japan is really utilizing bitcoin. They are applying the benefits of bitcoin in all aspect of their life. If this continues, others may consider that Japan is the capital of Bitcoin.

I believe that Japan already figured that out. We cannot set aside the fact that Japan already knows about that kind of problem. I know that they have plans about coping that issue. Though we cannot justify that for now, since we do not know how they will implement the acceptance of bitcoin in airlines. Japan is a smart country, I know they already looked at some different angles.

Well it is expected that Japan will utilize bitcoin.  They already accepted it as a currency and there are several big company that is already investing and joining the Bitcoin economy, so it is wise for Japan to take advantage of it, utilize the usage of Bitcoin to their advantage and comfort.

I agree, Japan is not dumb, they already figured this out.  What ever their solution in the waiting time of bitcoin, they will announce it for sure.  I am thinking of some web wallet where several services are integrated with as a solution to this problem.

I welcome new adaptors. It will help people understand the use-cases of Bitcoin and therefore encourage them to have Bitcoin. The more investments go into Bitcoin, the more your investments will worth.

Great news, and like others have said not much of a surprise. This is one of many companies that will accept bitcoin in Japan this year.
Hopefully we'll have a huge price spike again this Autumn and close the year at $3k.
Airlines accepting bitcoin could be the begin of a new era. Now if you ever find yourself in trouble and have to leave the country, you'll have all your money with you on a usb stick. You can buy a ticket and disappear with almost nothing in your pocket but a fake ID

It is a very good development. The rate at which Bitcoin is surging in Japan in regards to popularity and trade volume, since the country legitimized the digital currency as a legal form of payment this past April is so interesting. Japanese Airlines is impressive in all ways, they are already taking the place of pioneers in something like this... Anyhow regardless, it's definitely true that bitcoin would gain benefit from this.. also on the other hand, reserving and paying with BTC sound extremely easy.

Just my random guess. There's no way someone could make double spend if they're paying for the ticket in the airport, they just have a small amount of time and to do the double spend, there are some requirements need to be done. Otherwise, if online payment is available, the airport themselves could simply enable 1 confirmation as a requirement. Things like double-spend will be solved immediately.
and one more thing, you did never hear any double spend cases because no one is going to leak the cases to the public just for the sake of few dollar or yen.

It is a good move! Bitcoin really is the future currency. Japanese adapting Bitcoin has a huge impact in the crypto world. Their airlines will soon accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment and I think many countries will follow it. Bitcoin will soon rise to the moon. It will be more known to others.

Well that's really good. As we all know Japanese airlines is one of the best airline in the world yet expensive it's performance is really outstanding. Because of the legalization of Bitcoin in Japan and because of the acceptance of it in the airline. For me it is very great news that some airline accept bitcoin as payment I hope that all airline across the globe well also adopt bitcoin as payment.

One more good news but considering it is also in Japan this is not shocking because they have already did legalize it to them and made it as a payment option. Just a new addition in a different service.
It would be better if other countries will be the one to take another leap and surely a great increase in value will happen again.

Japan has become pioneer in accepting bitcoin legally.Definitely it has boosted the price of bitcoin more.It has become an eye opener for other countries to adopt bitcoin.
