HELLO!!!  Sounds fun!  I can spare £20 - £50 in this and I prefer a lock in amount upfront for the entire season.  It would make it more interesting imo and participants don't just come in and go as they please.  You are locked in for an entire season, you have to play.  

And it's also a good way to make friendly banter.  I suggest also declaring what club you support and include that in the OP.  God, I hope at least one of you is an Arsenal fan.  Making fun of lol_wenger is always hilarious to me for some reason.  

Cool. We have 5 participants who've pledged £20 so far and four at up to £50. I have at least two mates who will probably put in at least £20 also.

And yeah, upfront is much better imo and the stakes will be higher. I think the pay weekly one would likely fizzle out quickly. Hopefully we might see a nice price rise in btc so it'll make the pot bigger  .

Maybe we could do also do a pre-season prediction for ten bonus points or something where people guess the champions and the three teams who get relegated. Might make it a bit more exciting.

Since this game is run by hilariousandco, count me in, i am willing to spare £20 for this fun game , i am a big fan of Manchester United and hope we will see some good performance from them. Will follow up the thread and like to see more participants as i usually see more people predicting scores.

Sweet.  Added you to the op. I think many more people will join the game once we get some momentum going on sign-ups which will hopefully lead to a nice pot of winnings  .

And I wanna suggest that all our posts in the pool betting thread should have no concern about if we're getting paid for it by our sig campaigns or not.  It would make the discussions more fluid and sound more natural and less spammy.

I think we should be allowed to curse or post 'LOL' with disregard at times.

Yeah I also prefer a lock in amount upfront for the entire season and this is different from the vote that I have done.
I personally highly favor all the top teams in the EPL, if I am required to choose one of the EPL teams I think I'm very difficult to do.

It might be best to keep one thread to just posting the actual predictions or it could get messy. We could maybe use this thread or just the existing Premier League discussion thread for any comments about results or picks etc.

Hello.. I want to ask about "Upfront fee for the entire season" and the OP has set the way it works that requires all participants to predict the scores in each week to earn and collect points, this is fine for me. But I'm just still confused when will we get the prize, whether all participants will get the prize at the end of EPL season? If yes, I think this is not a good plan. That's the reason I vote for "Weekly buy-in" because I previously thought we need to pay in at the beginning of the week and then we do score predictions and do points calculations at the end of the week and rewards will be awarded at the end of the week.

The person who has the most points at the end of the season will get the entire pot. I will likely do second and third consolation prizes as well if we get enough users. Let's say we get 50 users at £20 that's a pot of £1000, so the first prize will be something like £700, second £200 and third £100.

Yeah, I have two friends who will put in a minimum of £20 so that's nearly 10 players we got. Might be able to get a couple more as well. I think we should be able to get at least 20 before the season starts. If anyone knows someone who might be interested please let 'em know.

There's nine people signed up so far and I think I've got another. There's still over 2 months to go so I'm sure we'll get many more sign-ups. £20 is hardly breaking the bank.  You could probably earn that in a day or two on bitmixer.

Keep spreading the word and I'm sure we'll be able to get another ten at least.

I'm definitely up for this idea but suggest weekly buy ins, with registration deadline a week before the game week. I'm only saying this because I know for sure I won't be around the entire season, so would miss out on scoring points for those periods. Alternatively, we could work out a fair system that automatically puts predictions at 1-0 to the home team if a player forgets or is unable to put predictions in but has already bought in (or buy-ins must come with predictions?).

I think the buy in per week should be USD20 (or Euros or pounds) and perhaps at a BTC cap of 0.01 in case value slides?

Also, I like the idea of limiting a group to 10-15. That's just easier management (and a "higher" chance to win perhaps).

I think 20 usd or whatever a week would be way to much for people as well. I don't think it will get much attention per week either or interest will quickly fizzle out especially if there's only a couple of players actually taking part. At least this way we lock in the players beforehand so the pot will be the same regardless.

I don't think it would be that difficult to pop on the forum once a week to make your predictions but if you wanted to make them in advance for the entire month or even the entire season or with your suggestion of an automatic 1-0 win for the home team then that would be fine by me.

In fact, maybe a shared document on google docs could be placed with the entire season's fixtures on it and posted on the OP, and we could just enter our predictions ahead of time and update as the weeks pass by. We could lock the doc during game days to prevent cheating haha.
