If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest?

I actually started with $500, I bought ether twice with $250 each time when it was less than $10. You can see that eth is now at $160 and I have turned a total of a $900 investment into a crypto portfolio worth $8,300 as of today, with 13 different coins. I sold some ether when it was $50, $80 and $100 and used the profits to invest in other coins. I still hold 24 eth. You want to make sure to diversify and have several coins, that way if one goes down you don't lose all of your investment capital.

If I had $500 to start investing now, I would put $100 in 5 different coins that I researched and thought had good real world applications and future potential. And as I had more money I would either add to my 5 positions or start some new ones.

which coins would you put your dollars in? i'm pretty new to this stuff, have been researching for a couple of weeks, and i'm thinking about putting money into golem, stratis, waves, etc and eth.

Invest on BTC. I see that it's growing every day. I have to invest as much bitcoins as I can, and sell it when the time is right and profit is big enough. It's just like I'm playing in stock exchanges.

Be careful if you are investing all in btc. BTC is already on all time high and there was no such big reason in past few days that btc price soared so high. So a fall in place means almost 500$ down will be easily. So ensure you can sustain a loss if it falls or else buy and sell in some profit itself.

A word is enough for the wise, though Bitcoin would no doubt continue its moon expedition, but right now it has gone too far too sudden and some cooling off cannot be ruled out. You know the Lion even as the king of the jungle still takes time to mark out its target and which are mostly the feeble among the herds before making a move.

I think most of the people said if you have $500 kn your pocket the best investment that you can do is to buy bitcoin and hold for few months and your $500 become double after that. Because the price of bitcoin is continously increasing and halving is near so the price for sure become double. And if you want more more profit you can hold it for few years . You can try also invest to the ethereum coin  this coin is promising and hold it for few months or maybe few years and make a lot of profit. Much better if you big capital but if you have $500 its okay.

Just to say that this question was asked and answered several times in the forum. So apart for the answers you get you might want to search around for more info.

IMO if you are new to alt/crypto i would definitely BUY BTC and ETH and put it for margin lending on polo. Then i would use the time around to get to know the market for a while before entering other coins. The rest if part your knowledge/study part your gut. I for example hold BTC, ETH and Monero. The rest of the coins are shorter term trades.

LTC, I'd go and invest all on LTC because it is the only alt coin undervalued in the whole market, of course bitcoin should be the first choice but with $500 you are better off investing on LTC and if you have more than $5000 then go for bitcoin. remember this is just my opinion. biased or not it's my own. Now while I'm saying this I'm buying bitcoin under $100 every week and sending it to my cold wallet.

Nice try, but I might try something different. Maybe 50% I invest for bitcoin, and 50% I will invest for altcoin, I think it will be very profitable, because sometimes altcoin is compared with altcoin. So, if the bitcoin price falls, the altcoin price rises.

Invest in ICO's, look for ones with revolutionary ideas. Things like ETH, bitcoin etc have already pumped so while they may go higher in the next 1-2 years they won't go up 100x or 1000x like some of the promising ICO's will. For me in particular I like Aragon because they will revolutionize how companies operate in this globalized world.

The people who invested in the recent ICOs were lucky because the market sentiment is very positive. But what if by the end of the year we are back to a bear market? Will ICOs be still a good idea to invest in?

I never recommend investing ICOs. Because it will be harder for any beginner to analyse the potential of new projects. Instead of risking to new projects, I'm always suggesting to go with well-known investment opportunities like bitcoins.

Maybe ICOs may get comparatively more profits, but a new investors should not take big risk. Based on this investment priciples, I'm always suggesting investing with bitcoin kind of highly reputed opportunities. Because making lesser profit will be nice rather than struggling with big losses.

$500 isnt much and most people can definitely afford to lose it without it affecting their health too much. I would put it all in altcoins that are new to the market and holding them until they explode.

i consider invest for bitcoin is more profitable rather than altcoins so if i have those amount i would not think twice with buying bitcoin and actually $500 is enough for basic capital for trading bitcoin so i would not doubt my decission that bitcoin is still my main option

Keep them in BTC until the bubble pops mate. Until and unless you understand the specifications of altcoin and the market price of it. I would invest some in Top 10 altcoins from coinmarketcap.

Like most of the people here, my answer is also bitcoin. The reason being bitcoin have became a lot stronger now with almost $36 billion market cap. Whosoever starts with virtual currencies, starts with bitcoin. No matter which other altcoin gets popular and appreciates. Bitcoin will most likely to appreciate more as it has first mover advantage. People get to know about altcoin through bitcoin. So, bitcoin will stay in demand. Its price will keep on increasing. Best investment as for now and very much less risky than any altcoin.

Yeah ETC and ETC are the best as an long term investment and do not expect quick profits from it but if you have a patience to hold them longer then both of them will surely bring positive results for you as of now I have diversified my investments in ETC, ETH for a long term and LTC, XRP, XMR for a short term profits as this coins will never disappoint you and will give you some profits on your investments.

Good choice, I will always go invest in bitcoin so that there's no more effort needed. I will just sit around and will wait for the price go up. But if you want to have some other ways, you could buy some other alt coins and when those coins pumped you could sell it with bitcoin. And that will be the start of your holding btc.
