For now I would say that investing by buying as much bitcoin as possible. You can see it now, bitcoin prices continue to increase every time. We can fold 500USD into 1000USD very quickly. Trading bitcoin is a very careful job.

I would highly recommend bitcoin. But if you think it is too much expensive you could go with altcoins.

Bitcoin is the best thing you can buy in the market if you believed that it will reach 10,000$ compare to other than altcoin.

if you are looking for trading options (since this is the trading board) all of these can be very profitable for a trader. bitcoin market is much more predictable and even if you make a mistake you can make up for it because the price will ALWAYS rise in long term.

the other altcoins are mostly unpredictable because they are pump and dumped.
among these options i say Lisk is the best at the moment for buying in the dips and selling right away because it is falling.
eth to me doesn't look like rising, and its bubble may pop soon.
Ltc seems to be keeping the USD value up these days which shows a good buy support, i'll make sure to watch it.

if you want just an investment, then just go for bitcoin. buy and hold it for long term (years) and never look back.

I will invest it to bitcoin, beside from being the top crypto currency the price is important to everyone to a hefty profit. The $500 is easy to get more profit in just a day or month. Compare to the other currency it has a big difference and advantages. And more investor used the bitcoin to get more profit and this will the reason why it is easy to pump and reach a high price. They only need is waiting the right time to sell their bitcoin and not being greedy in small profit.

if I saw this about 48 hours ago I would have said a little in bitcoin and the rest among a couple of altcoins. but today I will say all in bitcoin. the price took a dive and it is a very good chance to buy in if you have missed it before.
as I said in another topic you can buy in multiple steps.
for example you can deposit your $500 and then buy $200 now and wait a little to see which way it goes first. then if it dropped a little buy another $100 and another $100 if drop was little more. if the drop was big then buy the $300
or if price went up do the same. if it was a little rise buy another $100 and if it showed signs of another big rise then go in with the rest of $300 and enjoy the profit.

you can change the numbers to what you feel is safer. but the important part is the price you decide to buy at.

Be careful if you are investing all in btc. BTC is already on all time high and there was no such big reason in past few days that btc price soared so high. So a fall in place means almost 500$ down will be easily. So ensure you can sustain a loss if it falls or else buy and sell in some profit itself.

OP, I have been asking that very same question for months now. If you read my posts from 3 months ago you will see that I mentioned of investing in my first altcoin. ETC. But sadly I was having second thoughts and now I am looking at it in pain because I let it slip away. My advice is to think about it but not too much.

Invest in ICO's, look for ones with revolutionary ideas. Things like ETH, bitcoin etc have already pumped so while they may go higher in the next 1-2 years they won't go up 100x or 1000x like some of the promising ICO's will. For me in particular I like Aragon because they will revolutionize how companies operate in this globalized world.

First of all I will investigate the better altcoin .Then j will think that how much I need to invest in a particular altcoin .
Here I will invest half of the money in the more stable alt coin and half of them in less popular altcoin .
So my first half investment will be in the ETH , DASH , DGB  , ripple And rest of half will be invest in the Edr2 , Putin , creva , ripple , Montero , edr2, etc , adz , money .
In this way I invest and then leave it for the one month , because again and again to.look at the price is a totally stupid think , so it would be better that leave them.for the advance sell at which you want or expect that it will increase .
