I have tried your service and it is entertaining.  The mixer I once used in mixing my coins is completely different.  I can say I am really amazed on how innovative this is Smiley.  I also tried the betting inside the mixing and I kinda got lucky. After getting the priv. key, I like the destroying session on the last part where you delete your session with Chipmixer site.

Chipmixer really seems to be killing it at the moment. I can see that forum advertising looks better with the new design and the new sig code designs look a lot better as well.

ChipMixer's pre-funded chips and balance holding model makes using bitcoin (or any coin) mixers more approachable and useful for mainstream businesses. In fact, if more press got out on how this service can benefit different industries we could see this new approach to an old service contributing to general adoption of bitcoin.

Here's a few examples of how ChipMixer's approach can help any community:
  • Charitable donations, particularly those of a large size where the donator wants aboslute anonymity; All the charity needs to do is set up a ChipMixer account
  • Political campaign funding, where the competition between parties/candidates may lead to keeping their funding available for the campaign a secret

What other examples do you all have?

Agreed. This model works a lot better than just sending coins to another address and expecting something in return. It also ensures privacy as the funds that are in these chips must have been there before the mixing occured, meaning that you don't need to worry about the mixer not actually mixing your coins.

Your ideas are great, but Chipmixer is not going to target donators/campaigners just yet, because virtually none of them even know how bitcoin works. But if you want to keep your personal invested bitcoins private, having a few chips or sweeping the mixed chips into several secure bitcoin wallets will offer you tons of extra security/privacy that isn't able to obtained with bitcoin alone.

All the charity needs to do is set up a ChipMixer account
Creating accounts is bad for privacy. Please don't ask for accounts or other "mixer codes". If you want to send either ChipMixer voucher or Bitcoin private key to charity - it is fine with us.

It might be better to not input any information regarding the user or entity behind this so that absolut anonymity and privacy is ensured since this is what ChipMixer is all about. I think addresses and private keys are enough to go along with this and nothing more since it is not needed actually unless you have any intention or motive to know this but I guess there is none.

Suppose by mistake if we clear the browser cookies after sending coins, is there any way to recover back our coins or it's gone permanently?

I never use any mixing services like this so just want to clarify before sending coins.

That is a very good question, since we do not need to create any accounts in ChipMixer as this allows the users to have more privacy for mixing our bitcoin, I wonder what would happen to our bitcoins if one of my friends accidentally clear my browser cookies after using my laptop.

I never use any mixing services like this so just want to clarify before sending coins.

To my understanding it is crucial that you don't do that, as you'll have a high probability of losing your coins. It's okay if you do that before you deposit any funds into it but if you already deposited coins into the mixing process then you're screwed.

If you are mixing high amounts then save the link that Chipmixer provides you when you open a new session. That way you're safe. I found though that when you click on the link it redirects to a default link that says session restored(https://chipmixer.com/session/step1), and you can only copy the session link when it's loading. It could be possible that someone copies down the redirected link thinking that they've got down the actual session link and lose btc as a result. So chipmixer, please try to fix this.

Either way, the chance of this happening is very low if you have a good browser installed and a stable connection to the internet. No need to fret too much.

ChipMixer displays recovery link that can be used in case you lose cookies. If you use Electrum plugin, payment comment includes recovery link.
You can also contact support and give us your deposit transaction details. Do that before your 48h session ends and your bitcoins will be fine.

There was only one support request on this matter and it was solved well.

I don't even expect anyone to wait that long before reporting any anomaly in his transaction. If it were to be me, immediately I realised things are not going the way they ought to go regarding transactions no matter how small, I am hitting support immediately no reply after reasonable time, I am buzzing you all over again until I get response or give up.

Chipmixer is a new mixer.  They're trying to build a reputation.  I assume that they also don't have a very high volume yet.

I think support should answer very quickly, considering their activity on Bitcointalk and Reddit.  Even if they were scammers (unlikely), they would do it much later when they have many more users.

Has the information on total reserved bitcoins for mixing purposes already been shared here ?
If not, I like to request admin to unveil those information as that must be another interesting factor which will help to build reputations.

More importantly, those reserved bitcoin information should be advertised everywhere so that people will get attracted like how other mixing services had done in the past.

I've never used mixers before, so I couldn't answer this question... One of my referrals asked me if he should use a mixer for his account. He's active in the faucet community, and is sick of having to pay high fees every time he sends bitcoin. I'm kind of in the same boat. I have a BTC address that I use as the "granddaddy" for my referrals, and I generally try not to cash out from any faucets or micropayment processors until the amount is at least 0.001, but there are still quite a few dusty inputs, which raises my fees. Would mixing my coins help me out with eliminating high transactions costs in the future?

Thanks in advance for the insight and info!

How would you guarantee that if some day when I walk out of my house I wouldn't get jumped by 2 mobs confusing me with one of their competitors or if I receive some coins which previously belonged to a drug cartel?
If I want to use your service on a daily basis then what happens after 10 days? will I get my old coins just in chips but they will be my old coins right?
Can I count on you guys if some day I got lucky and found one of Satoshi's private keys with 50 Bitcoins in it, can I then send them to you even though they are being monitored and are known to every body, can I make sure that you wont sell me to the CIA thinking that the real Satoshi is trying to mix some coins? because I don't want to end up dead or in a dungeon.lol

No. If you think that transaction cost will get higher and higher, send all your funds into one address with one transaction. This is the cheapest solution but also the least private.

How would you guarantee that if some day when I walk out of my house I wouldn't get jumped by 2 mobs confusing me with one of their competitors or if I receive some coins which previously belonged to a drug cartel?
Every time you use our service you can save a receipt. It is a document that proves that funds withdrawn from ChipMixer and there is no connection between depositing user and withdrawing user.

If I want to use your service on a daily basis then what happens after 10 days? will I get my old coins just in chips but they will be my old coins right?
Since we don't track your deposits and withdrawals, it is possible. But the difference between your coins before and now is their new history. They were deposited by unknown person and they were withdrawn by unknown person. If you analyse blockchain, you cannot expect it is the same person. If we would use tracking codes, you could expect that it is never the same person and this is less private.

We do not discriminate against Bitcoins. Old, young, small, high. If they are validated on blockchain they have the same value as any other. And after you destroy session (or it expires after 48h), any link between input and output is gone.

Satoshi's keys are as secure as any other Bitcoin private keys, which is very close to 100% secure.  It would only be possible many years from now when machines have developed far enough to do it, and by that point Bitcoin would either have:

-Changed the code to make this impossible, so it was never unsafe; or
-Died.

So Satoshi's keys are safe in that if they were ever not safe, Bitcoin would be worthless and mixing would be pointless.

Besides, that's called "theft".

So it needs to contact support once the session was accidentally closed or deleted.
I think they need to fix the link given like restored button with unique link that people who are using their service can save and bookmark the restoration link.. so that if someone accidentally closed or deleted the tab or the browser they can recover the session without contacting the support.. just my opinion..
