Hello DarkStar_,

I see the campaign seems to be full, but if by any chance a spot frees next iteration I would be happy to join Smiley

LoyceV, they are probably check last week on spreadsheets, one user is get red trust, and column 7 has an empty place for user name, which is probably just a mistake.

Meh, the red trust is a comment made over a year ago about the person being an "annoying troll." No reference with the comment. The person making the comment must have just became a new default trust 2 user with the new rules.  I wouldn't get my hopes up that this will create a new spot. If this results in the individual getting removed from the campaign there may be even more spots opening; since come Monday, I suspect there is going to be even more new DT1 and DT2 users with the new DT trust rules...

Missing spot fixed, I must have moved BitMaxz's name to where magneto's is by accident. I checked and it doesn't seem like payments were affected, so everything should be fine.

The user with red trust is not being immediately removed, they can have some time to sort it out.

Anyways tomorrow the DT list will change again, so some ratings will probably change again.

Unless major problems come up, I'm going to reconstruct DT1 again using the published criteria on Monday, so set up your trust lists before then. After that I'll probably switch to doing it near the beginning of each month.

Officially changed my signature from the ChipMixer Sr. member signature to Hero member signature.

Sorry for the slightly off topic reply, but I just want to vent. I'm finally a hero member! After being just slightly frustrated when the merit system was newly implemented because I was like a week or two into having enough Activity points for hero member(LOL). 250 merits is quite a bit. But hey, I got the required 250 a lot sooner than I anticipated. Small achievement but whatever.

Darkstar_ has good taste in picking people to participate in this campaign. As a merit source, I find myself meriting people that sport chipmixer sigs quite often. Congrats on your deserved promotion.

Of course. I'm not really sure, but ChipMixer campaign members are probably still the most merited users here on Bitcointalk. Don't forget this!:
- Members in the campaign have received 2.7% of all merit given on the forum  Shocked (1666/61278)

Also, thanks!

I made this overview earlier this month. At that time, 19,581 Merits were received by ChipMixer campaign participants (including DarkStar_), and 291,791 Merit had been sent. That makes it 6.71%.
This is as I expected:
I expect the percentage of total merit in this campaign to keep going up. Currently, many users with old accounts have some sMerit, which partially goes to their alt-accounts or bad posts. Long term, once they run out of sMerits, it's all up to Merit sources, and they won't give anything to bad posts.
Note that part of the increase comes from new participants, who often started with more Merit than the ones they replaced, and a small increase in number of participants.

I don't want to be a bum, but ChipMixer does have the largest campaign with over 50 participants Cheesy That's probably 5 to 6 times more than the average list of every other campaign.

Not to mention that almost all those participants are fresh blood, where the majority is extremely active on the forums. And not just that, a lot of the 1% merited users are also participants https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusers

All those factors easily add up to make the campaign participants one of the most merited users on the forum. If you took out DarkStar_, Loyce, a few other big names, and maybe reduced the number to double the average number of every other campaign, it'd look slightly more "normal".

Like I said I don't want to undermine DarkStar or his ability to pick great users, because that's still true, but I had to say this.

Essentially:

If the campaign did not have users that earned a lot of merit, then it would not be a campaign that earns a high amount of merit.
It just feels like you're making a tautological comparison. Sure, subtracting the merit elements of the campaign would make the campaign hold less merit. That's just by definition.

Lol, why so hostile? Is it not true that most other campaigns average at 10 users per campaign? I haven't done the maths, but isn't it not true that from the 50+ users on your campaign, about 5 to 10 probably make over 70% of the total merit of all users in the campaign?

I still said that it's just an observation, and of course all of this is still a good thing, but it makes it very expectable for this campaign to make that much merit. Chill out Cheesy

Apologies if you thought I was acting hostile: I did not intend to have any malicious connotation.

I'm just saying that all you're doing to equalize the campaign's merit earnings compared to other campaigns is essentially stripping away all elements that do bring forth merit to this campaign.

The tautological effect is similar to that of stating that a chocolate bar is healthy if you remove all the sugar, fat, carcinogens and unhealthy substances.

The Top 10 members in the campaign comprise of 9730 merits, out of the total 20196 merits in the campaign (48.2%). I'm excluding myself from that figure. It takes the 22 highest members to reach the 70% figure.

Median value is 212 merits earned. 20 users are above the average (343 merits) earned, and 39 users are below the average. This is what the distribution looks like:

Most campaigns out there have merit requirement of 10-20 earned merits. A lot of the best campaigns still have those kind of requisites
The average here is 343, and median 212. That's far above "normal".

Congrats to darkstar and participants

Hello DarkStar_,

I see the campaign seems to be full, but if by any chance a spot frees next iteration I would be happy to join Smiley

Username: asche
Post Count: 2561 2769
BTC Address (must be SegWit): 32wL2QhuPEpjNjEH1aumw2Y81xWskPtaHN

LoyceV, they are probably check last week on spreadsheets, one user is get red trust, and column 7 has an empty place for user name, which is probably just a mistake.
The user with red trust is not being immediately removed, they can have some time to sort it out.

This is exactly why I took my chances.
I don't see that red being removed in the near future. However I like the fact you give the members time to deal with it.

I have been wanting to join Chipmixer for ages, and hoped this was finally my chance Wink

If you are open to it, I would be willing to take the spot (that is, if you think I am chipmixer material) and "give it back" in the next few months should his red be removed if you would be willing to do that DarkStar_ Smiley

Sorry for the noise, looks like I offended jackg by getting my hopes up...
