I used to say that when a person gets something especially money with ease and zero efforts, it triggers greed in him. He will definitely try to earn more money by the same method.

This is quite a normal way to respond to a wining. The thing is that those who do not win on daily basis or find it hard on their luck most of the time to get their money doubled, they find a win as some sort of unusual activity and celebrate it in the best of all possible colors. It really depends on the person gambling, of course it is not for everyone. Some  people just don't enjoy it as much as other do. Like your interest and hobbies, it won't be liked by everybody in the population.
