Etherscan confirmed that my transaction when through with 74954 block confirmations  as proof.

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xd1b9ab1ea0db7e56de1163e3a016a3c7a8591aaf01967988e6a43fe49f796988

Civic is trying to rip me off with email claiming my transaction was unsuccessful:

"The allocation confirmation emails have now been sent to all successful crowdsale participants. We regret to inform you that if you have not received such an email, your participation in the crowdsale was unsuccessful."   It went through and no ETH was returned to me!

Unbelievable they are literally stealing from me!  What should I do?

Hello,
The Civic Admins with authority over your issue are swamped currently, and they will get back to you soon.
Until then I was able to find some info on the website that might be helpful if it applies to your situation.
From the FAQ:

"How will I know if my purchase was successful? Both Bitcoin and Ethereum networks are overloaded.

For purchases made in BTC and ETH, we will deem a purchase to be successful when three confirmations have been received within six hours of the time that payment information is displayed to you during the crowdsale process. We reserve the right to refund your purchase if the transaction is processed after the six hour period lapses.

What will I need in order to participate in the crowdsale?

You will need the following:

1. Download the Civic App and register with Civic by providing your phone number and email address. To download the app, search “Civic Secure Identity” in the App Store for iOS or on GooglePlay for Android.

2. If you are paying in BTC:

A) Your BTC on an exchange or in a wallet, ready to be sent to the address displayed to you via the crowdsale widget.

B) Your BTC refund address which is your receiving address.

C) Your ERC20 compatible wallet address (please see examples of such wallets in the Technical Questions section below)

3. If you are paying in ETH:

A) Your ETH in an ERC20 compatible wallet (Note: It will NOT be possible to send ETH from an exchange)"

I sincerely hope this helps, but if not, you should be hearing from them soon. I know it's frustrating, so thanks for your patience.

Does anyone think if cvc coin hits an exchange before segwit will it be an issue?
It will not be affected by segwit because segwit activation only for bitcoin not for altcoin

the price of Bitcoin affects the price of altcoins

This is a nice project with a potential production use.
Nice words, which can be said about any other project. Do you get the idea of CIVIC at all? I will tell you: Civic is the emerging leader in digital identification. This is going to be very popular invention in the area of social networks. Civic allows users to control what data will be transferred during the authentication process. Thus, own and manage its own data by the users themselves and not a third-party platform that can make a profit by selling personal information to annoying advertisers.

The only issue is social media platforms will miss out on revenue by selling search history etc to advertisers. Don't get me wrong I love CIVIC and I think it has huge potential and I don't like the fact that you don't get to chose weather these platforms can share your information or not, but I think its quite a big obstacle that CIVIC will have to get round. I think we should be given the choice of what personal information we share and using CIVIC will give us that option.

Do I have to add a custom token or will my MEW-wallet recognise the token automatically?

They are probably under non-disclosure agreements so they cannot give us much details, we'll see once it gets listed on exchange.

Civic continues to avoid and simply rip me off.  I have emailed several times and they send the same canned email response each time.        I called and was told I would receive a callback yesterday but nothing.    No mention they are refunding my ETH if they are reneging on the Civic token allocation.   I chose to invest in Civic ICO because of the emphasis on trustworthiness.   I am very regretful for trusting.

This seems to doing success around with good investors coming into project. Hoping for this coin to be a super success and grow like bitcoin. Its campaign is also running great with regular payments and on time which means management cares about people associated with Civic which a nice things.

Most of the time campaign will be closed once after the crowdsale. Here this has been running long after the end of crowdsale. As well continued support is provided to all the investors through the forum. A good developer and funding team is behind it and making the project more successful. Right now this is very early, hope it stays long and grows high.

I would be happy to just get the ETH refunded that I contributed.  I received no token allocation or refund of my confirmed contribution.   Is that not the definition of a rip off?

I wouldnt count anything out now, but one thing Im pretty sure of is... no matter the situation, you havent been ripped off.

Have some faith. I will be personally hoping that you received your token allocation.

Please keep us posted and if need be, maybe we can work together to make sure you are taken care of.

Contact their support, they should be able to help you out. Maybe they haven't released refunds yet.

I hope there will not be any problem with siege it thing on the ICO.

Has anyone got the reply from admin yet.

I believe that CIVIC won't be having any issues as we have funded the project with ethers primarily. They must be having cover up plans by the end of 16th July. Hope to see good news soon with the prices.
