However, in order for that to even stand a chance of materializing most of the remaining bounties will need to be distributed out first. Failing which this will be called a "scamcoin"

You mean only leave 500K? There will be things like supporting groups, faucet, pools, etc.

I don't mind distributing some more bounty, by giveaways or lotteries or other forms, if the community feels that way.
