By the way, how many coins mined so far? I estimated about 1.5 mil, not including the initial reserved bounty.

I want some when you distribute it  Wink maybe increase the giveaways?
If more people wants, I can distribute some more in the form of giveaways. I will probably limit to those already receiving them (i.e. the "community").

Let's see, so far 12315 blocks are mined, this corresponds to about 1.62 mil coins without counting the reserved bounty.

I don't have it. Now it shows 89.7K in cgminer.

I want some more distributions  Grin Grin Anyway to keep too much bounty reserve is not very useful.

Just giving them away is pointless in my opinion.

Put them towards good use.

eg: Feathercoin doing a promotional video.

Things that promote the coin not just simple welfare handouts

Also, at what point is solo mining better than pool?

This depends on your computing power, I think.

I don't have experience with setting up a pool, but I have access to a pretty powerful server (64gb ram, Xeon processor, OC3 connection) I could potentially host one on. I've been looking into running P2Pool, but haven't found a lot of info on it yet. Do you have any guidance on setting up a P2Pool?

once the block accepted, you should see it in Qt, will be in wallet after a while. You can use debug window and "listtransaction" to check status.
