Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

The first time I saw this I thought it was a joke. Now I see people buying and selling JKCs. Was it really intended to be used in REAL life?

This is true for all cybercoins. So far only bit coins are accepted in some places for real merchandise.

I think it's still a long way to go before general merchants accept cybercoins Smiley

Don´t know why, but mining at pool with wallet does not work?

www.Bitcoin-Tools.de - Price Alert & Calculator [OUTDATED!]
A little tool to keep you informed or wake you up, if Mt.Gox reaches a defined price level and a calculator to convert  BTC or USD based on live Prices. It´s not working any more, because of Mt.Gox... but it was fun to code that time... keeping this link just for reminding... Thanks to everyone for donations done that time!

check here http://junkcoin.sytes.net:19327/static/
in the lower part, "payout if a block found now", do you see your wallet address in the list? If yes then I think you just need to wait.

The wallet just said:
"Miner started. You might not see any output for a few minutes"
"Miner exited."

and nothing else...
My adress does not appear, too.

Don't use the integrated miner, isn't very efficient...

I tried ScryptMinerGUI_r10, too. But it seem not to work either.

that new yacoin had almost 20,000 blocks pre mined, lol

So far I can see it, the junk coin is the honest one, premined for bounty reserve only, and clearly documented.

Ok, tested a while ScryptMinerGUI and no shares. Then, GUIMiner-Scrypt, 2 shares very fast. Try it.
