My first day of trading

A couple days ago I transfered enough from my bank account to buy 1 Bit coin.  While waiting for the $ to make it from the bank to the exchange I had $75.00 invested so could use it to practice with.  Keep in mind that I had no experience with bit coin trading and my past day trading did not go well.

Today I saw that SC (Siacoin) was above 10% and volume was above 10,000.  It was also very active pumping up and down.  I did four buy and sell trades, not aiming for much more than 5% profit on each one and increased my $75.00 to $91.00.  It was a great leaning experience.  Also very humbling because on the first trade I made a mistake and lucked out.

Knowing xrp is on its pump in the past and consider to its peak price and buying on that price isnt ideal which the risk of losing money is high and now it dumped and going back its price lower.Thats a lesson learned for you mate and i hope you do make some learnings on that one. If we saw a coin was pumped dont ever plan to buy to its peak and wait a little longer for the price to correct or decrease before buying. To op,its a good start on gaining some profits on trading alts just remember the proper ways and mechanics and you will surely get the formula.

this is exactly what i do most of the times
the days that i have time i look for some altcoin no matter what its name is and if it is getting pumped and also if it is in its early stage of the pump i join in and dump it after a small profit, usually it is 5% to 10% but depending on the strength of the pump and if i know something more than just what i see on the charts then i aim for a bigger profit.
and even if price continues going higher after the dip you can always join in again.

You don't have an experience but Im sure you already have a knowledge. No way you will gonna choose Siacoin even it shows a spectacular volume today. For a lack of experience, they will have some regrets but in case of you, you don't hesitate to ride the wave of SC.

That's great experience, do that again to make more profit. Many people can make profit on first trade but not for long, sometimes not disciplines and too greedy become their big mistake. I suggest stop trade for today and start again next day, enjoy your profit because maybe you'll have different experience tomorrow. Learning by doing is the best way to become a good trader, develop your skill with another altcoin or currency with another situation. Hope you'll get another profit & good luck.

Now you could have gained a small understanding about the trading aspects and the mistakes that need to be avoided while making small or big volume trades. You could grow the trading volume little by little to profit you rather than just spending big as it's the early days of learning.

Nice one. But the thing is your luck is not always when we trade in the market. I'm talking it straight it might have excited you to put your money on to trading platform. Though you should learn how to do trading without bringing your emotions in the trade and the money you investing. Just be careful as I have seen many cases who went off the track for getting bigger profits and lost a lot. I'm not demotivating you but I'm making sure you don't loose over your emotions. Getting experience like this is good. Keep it up.

Scott, you should focus on developing you trading skills as this a lone is what can make you to be a successful and professional trader. Skillful traders do not relay on a day or a week trading success to determine if they can make profit from the market but long time profit and loss.

Congrats on executing your first trade. Just keep in mind whenever you are trading that trading is highly risky. It COULd be a good, sustainable long term income for an experienced trader with thousands of executed trades and knowledge, and it could lose all your money.

It's not wise to save up money and then putting all of it to trading. 20%, 30% max. Don't put all your savings into trading altcoins. Trust me, i've seen people go into debt even because they want to get even with a trade they're doing.

Looking good with your first trade.  Me when i tried to go in trading.... I doesn't know what i'm doing but last it for all my first came up to in c-cex.com and i didn't actually notice that i'm apart. Anyways it's in XEN COIN it drops down to 30sats and i buyed in that price a total of 0.01 but after a couple of minutes it pump up to 1221 sats and it's horrible that i win such high amount without any experienced of it. But it the end i buyed many coins that it's totally shitcoins and i lose half of my winnings aad for it.

You are fortunate enough to get a profit. That is trading in bitcoin world, everything can happen quickly. So do not ever stop hoping until the final decision happens. Trading is a thing that should pay attention to the value of selling and buying value, when you can decide the right thing then you deserve to get the best.

just one tiny advice:
the worst mistake that anybody can make while trading altcoins is getting caught up in the hype during a pump and eventually getting greedy and not sell. you are already sayign "5% profit" if you can keep a strong mind and not get emotional and not get out of the plans you have made, you can continue making profit.
but if you start getting greedy and break your own rules of selling, then you are breaking all the strategies and putting yourself at risk of money loss.

imo the best first trading account experience a trader can get, is to lose everything or substantial part of the account  no kidding, its better to get humbling experience at the beginning than the feel of invincibility.

That's a beginner's luck there. Not bad. Siacoin is a good coin for me. Better hold them till you feel comfortable selling them. Its not the right time to sell. I suggest wait a little more longer. I know it could grow more. You can also buy other potential altcoins like XRP, CRBIT, DGB, SC and ARDR. They are great coins.
