You should look into Coinbase just to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin. It's pretty simple and easy to buy. Then, if you want to start trading you transfer your coins to an Exchange. If you are outside United States, I recommend Bitfinex. Also, there are plenty of trading platforms in which you can trade easily like Binance, Kraken, GDAX, YoBit, Coinigy and many more. A couple days ago I transfered enough from my bank account to buy 1 Bit coin.  While waiting for the $ to make it from the bank to the exchange I had $75.00 invested so could use it to practice with.  Keep in mind that I had no experience with bit coin trading and my past day trading did not go well.

Today I saw that SC (Siacoin) was above 10% and volume was above 10,000.  It was also very active pumping up and down.  I did four buy and sell trades, not aiming for much more than 5% profit on each one and increased my $75.00 to $91.00.  It was a great leaning experience.  Also very humbling because on the first trade I made a mistake and lucked out.

This is a coin that has market from 50 Satoshi to 500 Satoshi that I seen in one year ( about ) .
Here the market can rise and down fastly for a small coin prices Because the % of increase in profit as well as down effects much with per Satoshi up and down in price .
Here it more better to analyse the coin before to make inevst directly because soemtimes our luck made profit for us but luck made loss much in that case when we are unknown for such type of loss .
Here my analysis about particular coin posw is that it's price changes from 800 Satoshi to 1600 Satoshi easily in week .
So you can also analyse such coins which have such type of flcutuations .

Do not worry when you make mistakes because these are newbie mistakes but this will be the experience for you. But I recommend investing only in potential altcoin like ETH and Bitcoin this is the best option.

me too, I've lost a quarter of my money on altcoin trading and makes me sad. I remember that on that day, the coin was suddenly got increase high but I forget that I have the coin and I only watching the coin fly high. but when I take a look in my coin wallet, I see that I have some amount of that coin and I say oh boy, I missed the train. but fortunately, there is a second increase for the coin so I can sell it to take a profit although the profit is not much if I sell it for the first time.

2 years ago my first trading is very bad  ,
I have not had any experience  and I'm losing more than 25%, discipline and greed is key.

Ah yeah, sometimes you have luck and sometimes you don't.
You can not always forsee which direction altcoins will go, but what i learned is sometimes to just wait it out. (as in don't sell with loss etc. I did that a few times and then 10 minutes later the prices goes up
There are many options for trade. I usually choose low value coins and wait for them to price . And the method will not all pour into a coin. I divided into several parts .
