That is quite an extensive update! To get this new Middlechain "Rain dropped" you have to move your BTS to the new chain. Are there any downsides to doing this?

powergrab, they're a 3rd party holding your "real" bitshares. and will probably vote with your stake. it's pretty dangerous thinking about it

BTS Dex exchange is running very well. But, at now everyone on crypto not interested in dex exchange. For me , BTS is a future but no one know. I just have a small bag BTS for future. Go big or go home

I had to lower my expectations a whole lot this year.

This will allow BitShares to utilize the increased speed and power of the EOS software without needing to buy EOS tokens or give up their BTS.

In order to obtain BEOS tokens, BitShares or BROWNie.PTS tokens must be transferred from the BitShares chain to the BEOS chain using the cross-chain transfer gateway described above.

Why should anyone risk his BTS by sending to a centralized place, remove voting weight, selling BTS for collateral reduce, when we can just sharedrop on the BTS wallets? With this sharedrop method I have to decide between BTS or BEOS.

Do we realy need an extra chain to be compatible with EOS? I don't think so.
An extra layer on the BTS Network can also provide compatibility with the EOS network. Starting with cross token exchange (atomic swaps) and multi coin wallet, than utilizing side and private chains.
The average Joe doesn't need/care about smart contracts, it has just to work and be easy to use.

You have until the 5th of November to withdraw these BTS. I assume if anyone would miss the deadline they still would accomodate the incidental manual withdrawal.

It is valuable information, I almost forget that I have thousands of Bitshares on Bittrex.
I withdrawn them around 30 minutes ago.

They should withdraw their BTS out of Bittrex before 5th of November.
