Since Bitcoin was ever released, I've thought of the possibility of this. Will crimes be easily funded now due to bitcoin and it's anonymity? How do you think the authorities will combat this? Will this lead to a decline in the price of bitcoin? I've had this on my mind for a while now and I would like to hear your guys opinions.
Absolutely, that is what has been happening around the world today. We do not have any way to stop it. But bitcoin is not bad, the evil just stems from the way people use it. Bitcoin brings a lot of benefits to our lives. Criminals are always looking for ways to do bad things, so it is normal for them to use bitcoin. |

Absolutely, that is what has been happening around the world today. We do not have any way to stop it. But bitcoin is not bad, the evil just stems from the way people use it. Bitcoin brings a lot of benefits to our lives. Criminals are always looking for ways to do bad things, so it is normal for them to use bitcoin. Plus, crime use other currencies too. That doesn't mean that USD, for example, is bad. Every currency has it's characteristics and bitcoin has its own. |

When the bitcoin still like this (anonymously), anyone can use the bitcoin, it's about time there were special rules of order that the user can origin and all transactions can be tracked, so bitcoin can't use for illegal activities.
Really, when bitcoin is still made as anonymouse then bitcoin can be used by anyone and can be used for any thing. So we can not blame the existing system at this time. So everything that happens depends on each person, they should be able to choose which actions are good and which are not. |

Yes it can be. We cant push people to use bitcoin in what they needed to spend it. Bitcoin can be use in many ways and it can be spend in many ways too. If they want to use it in bad way its up to them. People are free to use it to everything that we wanted. But I hope that it will be use in a good way to make bitcoin be known as a good image cryptocurrency. |

Yes it can be. We cant push people to use bitcoin in what they needed to spend it. Bitcoin can be use in many ways and it can be spend in many ways too. If they want to use it in bad way its up to them. People are free to use it to everything that we wanted. But I hope that it will be use in a good way to make bitcoin be known as a good image cryptocurrency. We would really like to see bitcoin being used on legal way but in reality we cant stop for those people who have bad intentions and do illegal things just for the sake of money and bitcoin is really being used because of its anonymous properties and we can deny that fact and yes it does really give negative image into bitcoin and other crypto. |

Yes it is possible but crime is also funded by paper money so dont blame the bitcoin for all those internet crimes.Although we know that bitcoin is a big part in the different crime sites like silkroad because of the anonymity that you can get from it.But still,there lots of crimes that actually happened before bitcoin was intruduced.
Yeah it is simply ridiculous to try to blame bitcoin for something that cannot be avoided, it is like they think cyber crime started with bitcoin or something, it is like they believe that before bitcoin everything was well and good and suddenly bitcoin corrupted the people, and that is not the way it works crime has been there before bitcoin and it is going to continue after bitcoin. |

the bitcoin transaction is easy and anonymous too but the bitcoin ledger records all government transactions so for the evidence the crime itself is easy to find. just how the government knows the owner of bitcoin. bitcoin prices are determined solely through demand and supply if you think the crime committed by bitcoin users could reduce the demand for bitcoin decline in the price of bitcoin can happen. |

Bitcoin is not the problem and never has been the problem. Such thinking is simple minded and people who think this way are almost always certainly no ones. Crime can be funded without money did you know that ? Crime can be fueled by hatred . Blaming bitcoin is like blaming the internet for pedophiles. Anything can be used for good or bad.

so? Is it important to care about what the criminal do? People have existed on this planet for thousands of years and crime also has the same age as humankind. You can not do anything to stop crime. They do use fiat to do bad things, why they can not use bitcoin for bad things?

It does seem difficult to prevent this many people who are abusing in the presence of transactions through either use for criminal transactions because with transactions through bitcoin crime it will be very easy to do that and not easy to track too.
Maybe the government is also ready for it by providing internet police where if anyone suspicious through the transaction will be followed up and investigated.

The Government team for cyber crime has already begun to be prepared by all countries, they are just waiting for the passage of the official regulations. Viewing user transactions can actually be monitored through a suspected wallet, but indeed they will not be able to interrogate if the transaction is already using bitcoin mixer service. This is indeed a problem that has no solution. |

Well crime evolves as the time we are now gone through modernization and even if Bitcoin is not here there are still things in the internet that provides more anonymity and untraceable tracks. In Bitcoin, it also helps them to monitor any suspicious activities through blockchain and this is better than these criminals will undergo a much invisible ways. Also they can release regulation and can cooperate with those who offers services in storing those criminal's Bitcoin to track them down. I believe that it is not impossible to regulate Bitcoin but this doesn't mean that they can control it. |

I think that even when we use teddybear as a form of payment, crime will be funded by teddybear. Therefore, we can not do anything to stop the truth that crime always there and nothing we can do to stop them

As we are all aware of Ramsomeware like wanna cry which had flooded the cyber world across the planet. Because bitcoin is completely anonymous with irritate information because it neither asks for any personal information nor anyone will provide so it's criminal friendly because they could Demand money anonymously and no body could ever track them. So in one hand we can say that bitcoin is boon for all us but the bas guys and criminals have the most secure door to utilize the anonymous property of bitcoin. Now a days mostly all type of demands are made though bitcoin because it will leave no trace of transaction and they could breath in peace. So bitcoin in the reagard fails to provide security to common people and there should be some solution to this worst security otherwise bitcoin the safest form of currency and transaction system.

Since bitcoin is not traceable and is not being regulated by any legal entity, then where it is spent may not be monitored or recorded. Then I guess yes, it is highly possible to use bitcoin to money launder funds for crimes. Bitcoin is fluid within the internet which makes it easy for users to utilize it in multiple ways. In order to track down illegal transactions, the government would have to regulate bitcoin just like paper money or fiat. As to whether it would affect its price would depend on the demand and supply.

it's not necessary and crime has and will be funded with every currency in the world, USD and EUR aren't exceptions and the anonymity of BTC is a myth since everything is in the blockchain and public, unlike Bank transactions that are more anonymous (since only a judge order can give you access to these).

This is really a long term problem that existed even before bitcoins had entered the internet. Crimes can be funded through various ways such regardless of the currency you use. It can be in the form cold hard cash, collateral by means of properties and such, or even life as kidnapping associated with ransom. Bitcoins is just and additional means for funding this unlawful acts.
