Well since bitcoin is almost anonymous, can be sent anywhere without any information about the sender and receiver and is relatively fast, it's a perfect tool for funding dodgy businesses and criminal activities and it's pretty normal, fiat has been used for that for a long time and will still be used.

Authorities has no power. They won't be able to stop bitcoin. Never.

If they were able to do it, they would have caught the wannacrypt hacker already. The only chance they have is to examining the software code for hints and that's not about bitcoin. Unless the criminal decides to spend his coins, nobody ever will know who is. Maybe years after when everybody forgot about this day, the hacker will try to get some other full anonymous coins for his bitcoins from an infamous exchange and nobody will ever able to track him down.

Bitcoin is not the perfect tool for criminals tbh. Because as soon as they move their money, it will hit the news. They can't spend it easily, they can't go to the banks. Stolen bitcoins are pretty much dead coins. I assume every major exchange website and mixing services are keeping tracks of those bad addresses but in the long term, they won't able to keep tracks and they won't care eventually.

If they start to collect coins as monero however... now that's the perfect tool.

Don't you have ever visited torrents and saw bitcoin adress for donation in footer or somewhere? Also darknet is using bitcoin as payment way because of bitcoin nature, it's anonimity. They can be easily funded but also still there is need to make that black money - white and for that people are using bitcoin mixers. All the roads of bitcoin can be seen, so it is not anonymous. But there is a crypto currency which is totally anonymous, it is called Zcash with that coin you can't see who and where the transaction accepted. No doubt  this coin can be used for some illegal activity.

Zcahs doesn't have a huge market cap compared to even Ether but yes, its price shows that it can be used for illegal activities as it cannot be traced.

However, bitcoins will still be exploited by these terrorist and gambling organizations who find it easier to convert stolen fiat cash into bitcoins and transfer it to different countries as well as buy arms and guns. Only KYC regulations cannot stop this as documents too can be faked. Many exchanges are imposing on these regulations to stop fraudulent transactions now.

Crimes will never really change their ease of funding, it just makes it potentially easier for networks to move money across really long distances with more anonymity than they would have otherwise. It doesn't necessarily make it easier for networks to move money if there is already some suspicion about their activities, however.

Chances are it will have no effect no the value of Bitcoin.

We had this discussion many time before. There are some point to consider:

1. Bitcoin is not as anonymous as people might think.
2. If something can be used by criminals to help them gain advantage - it is safe to assume they will use it.
3. Have you ever thought that cash is far more anonymous and 'crime friendly' that bitcoin will ever be?

One cannot blame Bitcoin for starting crime. For instance, the internet is used for various cyber-crimes. Technology can be used for both good and bad. It depends on the user. Secondly, Bitcoin is not fully anonymous. It has an open ledger called the Blockchain. Every transaction made is logged in this ledger. Your logic does not make a lot of sense, bitcoin is just a tool if the criminals decide to use it then that is their call but I do not think that is going to make the price go any lower, just look at all the illegal things in the world, are they cheap? Yes, crimes were being funded before bitcoins and the anonymous nature of it makes it an easily available resource for illegal activities. It is the crimes to be blamed not the currency itself.

Silk Road, Tomáš Jiříkovský, Mt. Gox, Trendon Shavers, these were involved in illegal activities like drugs, money laundering, fraud and running Ponzi schemes. These were nabbed by FBI and other law enforcement agencies. So it is does not mean if you are doing something illegal with bitcoin makes you immune from its legal consequences. Every transaction you made is out there in public, mixers make it difficult to trace the trail, but enforcement agencies are working with encryption specialists to track down the whole source and nab down the offenders.

No, not everyone who is using bitcoins have bad intentions, they are the minority. Majority of us are law-abiding, tax-paying bitcoin users. You said true , but still you need to think about the reality behind this , suppose two person made deals for any illegal purpose and then they transaction of 100k $ value , so now think how he can use this money for himself , because he can't use it until he sell it for bank money .

I would think it is the principal value of crypto.  After all, why would we need a "freedom money" ?  To use it when our freedoms are denied.  Who denies us our freedoms ?  State and law.  When we do things that are denied to us by state and law, by definition, we are doing illegal things, and hence we are "criminals".  So the only genuine usage of a "freedom currency" is to use it for "criminal purposes".  After all, for all other purposes, allowed and framed by law and state, we can use fiat.

Crime is one of the things that allow money to get circulated among the citizens of the world. Bitcoin is going to increase the amount of money flowing in the underground markets online and offline though that does not mean that currencies like USD, CHF, EUR is not going to be used for funding crime as well.

Authorities combat this with stricter and stricter KYC rules on exchanges but ultimately it is still easy for crime to be funded using bitcoin. In reality there is little authorities can do about it, it is one of the "features" of bitcoin. Its unlikely to affect the price however as even criminal enterprises will create new demand for bitcoin.

It was only in the early days that fears spread of governments banning its use but now we can see that is overwhelmingly not the case in the world.

There is no 99% anomality in bitcoin, only 100% anounymous transactions. But bitcoin and deep web are interrelated, I've never and do not want to think of bitcoin transactions for crime, because it is the job of professional hackers and international intelegent.

I don't know why people are putting so much emphasis on this. Crime will exist in this world as long as humanity exists. And the medium really doesn't matter. Sadly, it is our responsibility to find some solution on this as I don't think governments would tolerate these arguments based on common sense. It will affect the legal usage of bitcoin as the criminals will still keep using it under cover (i.e - TOR) even if there is a ban from the government. maybe it will like this. the government will identify the bank account number, they will analyze the account with the name of the owner, they can see that which account number will have big transferred money in everyday or monthly, then if the transfer is big, then maybe they will ask the owner what business he did and if the owner has bitcoin wallet, then he needs to add his bitcoin wallet to make easier the identification and the money transfer.

But in my opinion, this fear is completely unfounded. The transparency of Bitcoin is such that criminals would essentially be making a permanent record of their actions on the block chain.
