Just like US dollars,Bitcoin is free to use for any purpose.Bitcoin has user base all over the world who use bitcoins for various purposes.Even if criminals want to use bitcoins,instead they would feel comfortable by using altcoins like monero or zcash as they provide full anonymity.

I believe in the statement that money is the root of all evil. With that, Bitcoin being conaidered now as a digital currency and therefore as money, is also a root for crime. In my oppinion, Bitcoin is funding crimes that is related to hacking in order to steal more Bitcoins. The idea is that they look unto crimes that is something that they already know and have an idea on which is Bitcoin. And therefore, Bitcoin it is. Another possible crime that they are funding about Bitcoin aside from the hacking is the mining. They may be behind on kind of minning hack that is illegal.

yes you are right bitcoin can spread good and bad both equally it’s all up to the user we cannot blame bitcoin for this evil it can be done through anything and from any currency bitcoin is not being involved in the crime of the criminal by itself it depends on how people are using it but if it is happening only in bitcoin then it can be controlled through tracing the use and the code of that transaction it is not so difficult now.

There is no crime that is funded by Bitcoin, only crimes funded WITH Bitcoin. I do not really like that the few instances that Bitcoin strike the International headlines, one of the news is about the digital Silk Road. It gives Bitcoin a bad image and reputation. People will assume that Bitcoin funds crimes and will get the wrong idea. But we also have to accept that Bitcoin’s anonymity policy ,that attracts criminals, is one it Bicoin’s biggest advantage and biggest evil.

Anybody who uses bitcoin for criminal purposes would use fiat for that same purpose if given the opportunity and the illusion of anonymity through the use of bitcoin is about fading away because I don't see a way to cash out large amount of bitcoin at once without using the exchange sites and this exchange sites will demand verification for such which in turn  will be handed over to government as part of requirement to operate their business. Whether zcash or monero, if I have tons of it and cannot convert to fiat, then its useless.

Well crime will always be in this picture as long as their is money and To add being anonymous makes or attracts more syndicate to transact underground without being track or caught. I think authorities can't handle this as transactions made everyday is quite a lot and they can't just search and assume that is the transaction. It will never affect the price of bitcoin, supply and demand are the one responsible for it.

This reminds me of a virans ransomeware attack that asks for payment using bitcoin. I think it can happen .. crime in bitcoin dance is very likely to happen. Because the anonymous bitcoin makes these coins span with embezzlement and other criminal acts. But bitcoin is created not for that. the different with money is if we are using money, then law can tracked wherever we go especially when one transaction is made. they can detect where is the address sender and receiver so they can process it. but with bitcoin, when one transaction is made, no one will know where is the sender and receiver and what for the transaction is made. this is why, maybe bitcoin is used by illegal activities so they don't have to worried if someone will detected what they do.

Criminality now a days is always a menace they will always look for an opportunity to take advantage if  will be caught off guarded. Will bitcoin or crypto currencies is no excuse for these there is a possibility that it can be used for criminal financing, but I believe that since it has existed for several years without fraud yet, it has a security features that will protect the investors like ledgers and traceability features that can easily detect if there are any abnormalities in the system.

It is lame to punish crypto currencies or any money for being used in wrong matters instead of those who are making these uses. If anyone needs to be stopped, then it’s those criminal minds which are always planning evil and defame others. Bitcoins are providing GOOD people opportunities that they have never imagined and it also provides security to its users.

There would always be a crime regardless of this is a bitcoin related, gold, or Fiat. The only advantage that a criminal can have is that when they used bitcoin they are more anonymous. However they cannot obviously cash it out.

Bitcoin is not anonymous but there are some digital currencies that is, but as you can read in the article, the anonymity of bitcoin is not really that high, it can still be tracked so I think with bitcoin se can make a good records of transactions that may lead of lessening the criminal activities involving bitcoins.
