bitcoin has become a means of payment transactions in some countries, so digital currencies of course bitcoin have the risk of being used as a means of transactions to fund crime in the world.
just as flat money and gold can be used as a tool of crime transactions, so believe me there is nothing perfect in this world.
however the transaction tool will be used for crime, because it has value. so anything of value will be useful and anything useful can be used to buy anything.

We cannot avoid that scenario to happen and even the fiat currencies are created to be act as a payment and also an exchange for different items but it is still being use as a way to make transactions in illegal things and even there is a law, it is still not be followed by the people so it is the same thing in bitcoin and the scenario that is happening in bitcoin because they have more freedom in bitcoin because of the decentralization so that is also an additional reason for the government to apply regulation on the cryptocurrencies.

Each transaction of bitcoin is recorded on its block chain, which contains all the records used for transactions in bitcoin, and can be accessed publicly.

If the government wants to track the flow of money, it's possible, but it's a lot of work!

This means that the crime against BTC will be effective!

they will need to use every resource that they have to track every transaction in the blockchain because maybe one of the transaction is used for the crime as we don't know what is behind of that transaction. but maybe crime already exists in the blockchain for a long time ago and until now but still, it is hard to know which transaction that being used for crime.

Crime is also funded (paid off and for) by Paper money, gold, valuables and a lot of other things, also via banking systems - why blame Bitcoin? if "Criminals using Bitcoin" is the reason to shout "Stop Bitcoin" - well, I would suggest to also stop Paper money, gold, banking and anything that is valuable.

It's more easier to hide the funds for crime. But people are the main problem as always.
I think we will get some kind of regulations that will make possible to track down the criminals.

banning bitcoin to finance the crime is not possible, because without the bitcoin the crime can still be paid with real money. if anyone forbids bitcoin because of paying for crime then we must also forbid real money.
in my opinion, it is better to arrest the person committing the crime and in law according to his actions.

I think criminals are using BTC for the crime and it is a very sad news for everyone. but that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are used to pay for the crime. If Crime funded by bitcoin but bitcoin can find out who's involved in these crimes and they can punishment for this crime. bitcoin has become a means of payment system all over the world and it is a nice system for payment. we can use bitcoin only for the fair transaction and not for criminal.

Europol notes in the report cases of the use of digital currency on the websites of the "deep" Internet, devoted to the sexual exploitation of children. The agency warns that the relative anonymity of hidden Internet services, provided by such platforms as Tor, can lead to an increase in crimes of this kind.

Since Bitcoin was ever released, I've thought of the possibility of this. Will crimes be easily funded now due to bitcoin and it's anonymity? How do you think the authorities will combat this? Will this lead to a decline in the price of bitcoin? I've had this on my mind for a while now and I would like to hear your guys opinions.
Yes, there are a number of criminals who use bitcoin, which is believed to lead to a rise in crime, so many countries ban it. But I don't think so. Bitcoin has little to do with crime.

Even if bitcoins will used in many crimes it cannot affect the price like any other currency for example if someone makes a crime and demand a bunch gold for ramson will the price of gold decrease? I dont think so banning bitcoin is not a solution to stop a crime.

Do you blame doctor for using drugs in performing surgery for their patients? Do you blame knife which being used by mother to cook?

Do not blame the object, blame the subject. With bad intention, you can use good stuff for crime

How is the trafficking of illegal goods, including people on the Internet, going on? Mainly through the TOP browser, which allows Internet users to remain anonymous on the network. The TOP browser uses the technology of onion routing, which allows the use of several proxy servers. When the client's message from the TOR by the browser goes to the network from the computer, it already goes wrapped like a bulb with ciphers, when the first proxy server receives the message, it removes the top layer of the cipher and receives the tracing instructions to the next proxy server, the first proxy does not see the message , since it is wrapped with ciphers and only the last proxy server already sends an open message to the resource to which it was addressed. The technology is actually much more complicated, but briefly, if you did not already know how it works, now you will have a general impression of this browser and you are approximately, now understand why they are used in the criminal world.

Bitcoin is not the problem and never has been the problem. Such thinking is simple minded and people who think this way are almost always certainly no ones. Crime can be funded without money did you know that ? Crime can be fueled by hatred .  Blaming bitcoin is like blaming the internet for pedophiles. Anything can be used for good or bad.
Totally true but don't you think that there are tons of people who turned into pedophiles because they have watch some in the internet?
And that started their desire for child?

Totally agree with you guys. Bitcoin is neither good nor bad. It's just tool and it doesn't have any intent in it. What gotten it into the mixup is when people with dark intentions use it for their own twisted way.

These sites can offer you all the assortment that was described at the beginning of the article. Do you have a legitimate question, why these sites will not be closed by special services? Everything is much more complicated than you think! Modern technology is so far away from the livened intelligence agencies no matter which country, that states, to curb all this illegality will take several decades!

There is a possibility of that happening since bitcoin transaction mostly hides identity of the sender and removes any connection to any crime doer. Bitcoin can be used in both good and bad purposes that may lead to a change in a persons perspective  towards it.

The governments of many countries work effectively to establish total monitoring and control over the movement of money by their citizens and citizens of other states. Public opinion is imposed a stereotype: "If someone is hiding something, then for sure he is a criminal, evades taxes, sponsors terrorism or is involved in other sins."

Normally many people thought the same in the beginning. However the true corruption comes from the big fishes , the goverments. The fact is FIAT money is used much more to fund criminality and for money laundering compared with bitcoin. Although in dark markets usually transactions happen in bitcoin it cannot be compared with the amount of FIAT money used to fund criminality.
