Byteball has transfer fee and is mined.  Aidos and IOTA do not have mining and fees

The advantage of DAG based coins is that every new transaction gets to verify previous transactions made in the tangle. The team wants to ensure that Aidos is distributed in a fair way and not to be eaten up by whales which might manipulate the price in the future.
