I'm kinda getting sick and tired of people comparing eth and bitcoin when they really have not that much in common and can perfectly exist next to each other. You know eth's got 5 times as much coins as bitcoin, right? So it needs about 20% of bitcoins price to 'beat' bitcoin in terms of marketcap, which says absolutely zero about the intrinsic value of a coin (look at ripple). Also, bitcoin is a currency and a way to store value (like gold), whereas eth is a platform designed for smart contracts and business building.

With the number of projects out there that use ERC, I believe it will hit $1000 again by the end of the year. 5 years might be a little difficult to predict since there are millions of possibilities. But if REAL projects continue to emerge and deliver, it can easily hold up to the current BTC price. Just my two cents.
