Well, here we go...we're probably going to hear bitcoin mentioned on major US news programs this week. Buckle up everybody, this is probably going to be a bumpy ride.
|
Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Can't be a bad thing, many first heard about it(myself included) in relation to silk road. While we have no interest in purchasing from silk road the bitcoin piqued interest. If it hits CNN negative or positive there's a fresh spike.

I fear for the bitcoin price and shutdown of currency exchange operator. We need to move faster to decentralized method of exchange.

If it hits CNN negative or positive there's a fresh spike. The problem is that the Silkroad angle will be used to attack and possiblly legislate against bitcoin. Senators are either themselves too stupid to understand that the connection between drugs and bitcoin is not a necessary one, or they do understand that, but are counting on the public not seeing the slight of hand they'll engage in in attacking bitcoin from that angle. First impressions are important. Some people will see past their obviously invalid or unsound arguments, but most people, sadly, won't.

While I am worried about silk road operator getting shut down, I am more worried bitcoin will be "collateral" damage. (Note, I can't be used as info source as I see nothing, know nothing).

This is just the sort of excuse that these guys need to attack bitcoin. The network likely won't withstand the attack. It was nice while it lasted...

Stop being pussies and spreading this doom and gloom. Bitcoin isn't going anywhere. There is no way to close it down. It depends on everyone of YOU - not some schmuck in a cheap suit. If you use it, there won't be anyone who can do shit about it

The observant reader will notice that the word "bitcoin" is omitted from the article. Also, Schumer is firmly in the pockets of New York financial wizards.

Hahaha, and their primary concern is that you won't be able to go to court Americans.. Don't paint us all with that brush.
|
"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."
- Carroll Quigley, CFR member, mentor to Bill Clinton, from 'Tragedy And Hope'
