A good portfolio with coins that already have a market and value would be something like BTC, ETH and LTC/XMR. A 2x return is pretty reasonable there and remember, some big billionaires like Warren buffet only averaged around 50% yearly returns.

For stuff that has the potential to blow up and make 10x returns. I'd say grab your ETH or BTC clone of choice, STRAT, NEO, WAVES, LISK, etc.

For the real money, and the real risk, find something that will revolutionize the crypto space. Like EOS, if it works will actually be superior to ETH, not just a clone of it. Little projects like PTOY might explode to, if they find a market.

Ethereum, Waves and ARDR are my favorite cons for 2018. I expect some big moves in the future

etherium is my all time favourite and i think it will provide good in the end. along with ETH. i am looking forward to ripple and "IOTA" as well i am investing all my earning into these 3 and hoping for their great return in the near future. my first strategy is to invest in "iota" and ripple as much as i can and than i comes to ethereum because the chances to gain more profit is in those two.

In my opinion ethereum is the best altcoin to invest on 2018, because this altcoin value seems of increasing trends in the market. Moreover due to high numbers of ethereum supporters I think its good to invest on this coin, because I believe that in the future their value was continue increasing.

I think your right sir, I can see that ethereum is one of the best altcoin this coming 2018. However, I was bother because their price movement is too slow. Hoping that this month of September their price was started to raising up.

I personally think the best coins with a lot of potential are going to be stratis, digibyte, verge, or Denarius. There are of course other coins out there. If you aren't spending a lot of money go with these small market cap alt coins. I personally feel there is better odds in making a large profit. Most main stream coins are hyped and in my personal opinion won't jump up in price at a rapid rate. But I think your best choice is to keep it as a hobby and research some coins, maybe read their goals and what makes them "special" and what projects/contracts  they are currently working on. I'm personally going with verge coin; although I was really interested in mind coin but that seems to be dead now, I think the devs abandoned the project cause even their website is down.

Ethereum is a good long term investment but it will take a lot of time for this altcoin to develop because the Ethereum market is having a lot of difficulties recently because of the ICO rumors. I think Ethereum will definitely grow in 2018 because this altcoin always has the community behind

although this year Eth prices have declined but I have predicted that price movements of Eth soared early next year, because Eth population is very good even with some ICO projects that have been using Eth platform will certainly give good support to the progress of this Ethereum.
