do u still have to create a conf file if using the build in miner on the wallet? i never tried using the wallet miner before.

No.  Most options are in the wallet miner.

Ok thanks,  what do you put in the server option box?  just a '1' like in the conf file?

He can use a different genesis block for the testnet, and if he's the only person using the testnet, he can easily delete it. Also, if you haven't figured it out, TESTNET.

No.  Most options are in the wallet miner.

Localhost or 127.0.0.1, I believe.
