Went through the ann and website.  What I notice about these hyped tokens... they use fancy worlds, concepts and pictures, to dazzle and confuse but say absolutely nothing and offer the same.   Its wordcraft folks.

I think you may be right regarding the $25, however after the fiat gateway launch until the end of year ETHOS will reach $100 due to low supply. Team confirmed supply allocation of 133,377,125:

Ethos has a Total Supply of 222,295,208. Of This Total Supply, 40% was reserved “exclusively” for the liquidity pool, which means 88,918,083 Ethos will never become part of the Circulating Supply. The Liquidity Pool should be thought of as simply a source of collateral, not to be bought or sold in the marketplace. This leaves a MAX Circulating Supply of 133,377,125 where 71,883,993 are currently in the marketplace. The remaining 61,493,132 tokens are for Operating Purposes and will be added “only gradually” to circulating supply as/when the company uses them for technology, operational, and other related costs on a monthly or reoccurring basis

Support is real and genuine for Ethos in market which can be understand and realized from its marketcap and current price in spite of the bad times for cryptomarkets as whole. We should be ready to see price back at $10 very soon and then from there further updates will keep pushing them upwards.

I'm following closely ETHOS marketcap vs global marketcap and I can see that after the market dip Ethos is back with an increased Ethos mcap compared to global mcap.

So I expect past peaks achieved fast.

Hope their universal wallet will be able to store new promising coins, I have seen too many wallets that have the same currencies so you really don't need a product that doesn't offer anything new ( wallet for the ripples, moneros, ethereums...) but not the new ones that usually are the most promising ones ( like the future hard fork of zclassic: bitcoin private https://btcprivate.org/?lang=en ). At the moment my favorite wallet is MyEtherWallet with many tokens in it, but I would love a really universal wallet. But with so many new coins daily I wonder how a universal wallet can be updated as fast as the coins appear.

Hello this is from the ethos WP :  When you build your personalized coin basket, you will be given an estimated cost and amount of underlying assets securing your investment. All investments are secured 1:1 by underlying assets.

Does this mean you cant really own your 'real' coins in your wallet and you will get a representative of that asset like with bitshares? And how will currencies be tradable against each other? Will this be done on the ethos blockchain ?

The great advantage of the Ethos Universal Wallet will be trust: private keys will never be held on Ethos side, so ledger nano will become redundant/obsolete.

Yep, you are right. These periodic changes in prices are allowing many people to make entry. Here potential is huge and whales are accumulating during each decline in value in fiat which is general trending for altcoins markets these days. Also teams efforts must be appreciated to take down the fake site to secure the interest of Ethos users.
