I'm using right now electrum pretty neat software and lightweight but If I advance more and more in bitcoin world I'm planning to buy Trezor that's the best thing to do in order to keep your bitcoin safe. It's so scary when you hear people loose their key to access their own bitcoin.

The Ledger Nano S is the gold standard....excellent security solution

Meh, I would argue for the Trezor, and I own a Keepkey. Buyers remorse, pretty much. It all boils down to native functionality on platforms. Trezor, in its infinite wisdom, decided to agressively pursue partnerships with other ubiquitous bitcoin institutions in the space. Most importantly, My Ether Wallet. Integration with MEW, as well as a host of other well used, extremely popular services, has made Trezor a household name. And thusly, other services are incentivized to integrate the Trezor into the platform Wink

But at the least (since these devices share code essentially), get a hardware wallet. If you have any bitcoin worth a damn, its worth the piece of mind for 90 bucks on Amazon.

I suggest it's bettwr if you have a lot of bitcoin its better if you use different wallet with different email or gmail account. Because using different wallet make your bitcoin safe because if someone open your one account you have other account and thats all safe. I suggest also don't click shortlink because maybe it is fishing after click this maybe they geeting information about you.

The safety methods or the safest way to keep bitcoins are  to keep them in the wallet.
 Desktop Wallet
A desktop wallet offers a number of advantages over an online wallet. While online wallets are easily accessed from anywhere in the world, they are also more vulnerable to potential hacking. Desktop wallets, on the other hand, are accessed only via your private computer, with personal security keys stored just on that machine. Thus, exposure of your security key online is reduced. Nonetheless, desktop wallets are still susceptible to hacks if your machine gets infected with malware designed to root out keys and steal Bitcoins.

Hardware Wallet
More secure than a desktop wallet is a hardware wallet. These wallets are bits of hardware, external devices like USB sticks which you can carry around on your person. An added benefit of a hardware wallet is the complete anonymity with which you can transact. There is no personal information linked to the hardware, so no identifying data which could be leaked. Hardware wallets are resilient to malware, and if you happen to lose the wallet you'll be able to recover the funds using a seed phrase.

Paper Wallet
A paper wallet is also a relatively safe way of storing Bitcoin, although it requires a bit more advanced understanding of how digital currencies work. Generate a paper wallet online using any number of dedicated websites, or generate the wallet offline for even greater security. Paper wallets are stored easily because they don't take up a great deal of space, and they also offer true anonymity: they are simply a Bitcoin seed written in some way on a piece of paper.

Physical Coins
Services are cropping up which allow Bitcoin investors to buy physical Bitcoins. The coin you purchase will have a tamper-proof sticker covering a predetermined amount of Bitcoin. In order to purchase the physical coin, you may need to pay a slight premium over the value of the Bitcoin that you're buying, owing to the cost of the manufacture and shipment of the coin itself.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

for me the safest way to keep bitcoin is Online wallets, which is hosted on a server that you don't control. Not a good option for storing larger amounts of bitcoin/ryptocurrency.

For me the safest way to keep bitcoins is sell it when the value of it will pump and then cash out it immediatley so you will have also a safe money and then you can keep it by depositing it to the banks and mahybe you can use this in your own business so you can have many source of income and may be you can keep it in your house.

For me there many ways to keep our bitcoins, first is you can invest it but offcourse in the legit investing sites so the money you will invest will be back with higher value or will be back with more bitcoins, And you can keep bitcoins by not sharing how many bitcoins you have in social media because when you share it with social media there are a big chance to hack it.

i think its not good if we save our bitcoin in online wallets because there is not too secure especially if we save for a large amount. i think its the best option for us to save our bitcoin in offline wallet which not connected with internet so we don't have to worried for other people that is trying to stolen our bitcoin. for now i am saving my bitcoin in many wallet like electrum, jaxx, mycelium, bitcoin-qt because i want to secure my bitcoin so only me that will know where is my bitcoin.

You can use a hard wallet device, and then write a private key on the paper with a pen, this is the safest way to save.

You are right, if you are really a Bitcoin user, you should to use the Bitcoin desktop wallet instead of the online wallet. I never trust any online services provide Bitcoin wallet, even exchanger like Poloniex or Bittrex. We do not know when the price of Bitcoin increases to high price, do they rob our money like Mt.Gox exchange or not?

Hardware wallet or 2fa security is recommended to secure and keep your bitcoins. But the risk for hardware wallet is you must be very careful in handling it because if you broke or missed it, your btc will be gone...forever. </3

i think the safest way to keep your bitcoins is having a trusted wallet. You should not give information about your wallet.
Dont share your wallet and keep it from untrusted people and untrusted websites and stuff.

Buy and use a Trezor for secure storage and reasonably easy access to your stored coins.
Keep a little spending money in a hot wallet on your phone. I personally use Blockchain.info

Just put it in a hardware wallet so that it is not connected online and you can avoid hackers to access your wallet. You can choose Trezor or Ledger Nano Wallet as far as I know many people are using it. You can also choose to designate a certain gadget or laptop/PC exclusive for cryptocurrencies transactions and do not connect it online if you are not using it. Always have back up of your passwords, private key offline so that in case you lost it, you can still access your funds.

that's what I've ever felt so I've lost the bitcoin value because of my neglect of not using strict security so make sure you must have a strict security code to avoid hacking. our enemy is just a hacker!!!!
I think the safe way to keep bitcoin is through your wallet. First select a strong password  for your wallet, second use 2 factor to authentication to reduces the risk from theft, and last make a back up to your bitcoin wallet to protect from computer failures and human mistakes.

The safety way to keep your bitcoins if you have trusted bitcoin wallet, since bitcoins are a modern equivalent of cash and, every day, another merchant starts accepting them as payment. We know how they are generated and how a bitcoin transaction works, but how are they stored? We store fiat cash in a physical wallet, and bitcoin works in a similar way too.

For me the safest to keep bitcoin is coins.ph wallet where i can also cash out thru bank or remittance center and automatically convert into fiat. I have no problem encountered since i used it. Easy to use and transact in a minutes of time only.
