It depends on you, You can hold bitcoins online or offline and also it is depending on your coins, I hold bitcoins on liqui.io and i also hold my eth coins MEW so it will always be depending on your coin and try to research the best wallet for your coins before starting to place it.
Keep Bitcoin on exchange wallet is the worst choice to keep safe your Bitcoin.
Remember, liqui.io had many problems about withdraw money recently.
Even this exchange do not have these rumors, I still do not trust anyone help me keep my money, I only trust my self and store Bitcoin in desktop wallet.

What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

There are many bitcoin users asking in this forum like this, for me base on what I have read before,  they're saying hardware wallet is the best wallet to keep your bitcoins safe. It is not easy to hack by anyone because it has your own secured key and only you can access this wallet.

If your talking that much why not just invest in a hardware wallet like a Trezor?

I just got one. Just took it out of the box yesterday. I love it.
I am currently using my desktop wallet and are satisfied with this desktop wallet for keeping my wallet but some of my friends are saying that Trezor is much beneficial than desktop that is why I am also now interested to get one that wallet. I am nowadays searching for it and will find a place to buy it and will use it. After some studies I also found that it is much better.

The safest way to keep your bitcoin is to do not use one wallet for your accounts. You should disseminate or spread your bitcoin in different wallets so that if ever that the hackers hacks your one wallet then  you still have your  other bitcoins and don't share you private keys to other people. Don't trust easily.

Many people say that hardware wallets such as trezor or ledger nano as is very secure. I dont even trust them. You must split your coins and put them in different wallets. In exchange websites, pc wallets and hardware wallets. So you can decrease the risk.

It depends on how will you keep your bitcoin in wallet and which wallet you were use..To comparing with fiat the bitcoin is efficient and easy to hold. Because the fiat has physical thing So it is risky thought. As far as it is good thing to do. I think blockchain is the safe wallet. if you have more bitcoin just split it and keeping it into some other wallets..

the safest way is to keep your treasure spreaded into different wallets and where possible, hardware one.
do not brag about how many BTC you have, keep it secret and remember to backup anything related to your wallets, this is the best way to be safe and sleep without any trouble.

I think you should keep your bitcoin in trusted bitcoin wallet, protect it with 2fa or seed code password. Or if you want really more trustful then buy a ledger nano or treazor. But in my own opinion if you really have a big amount of bitcoin spread it in different wallet to avoid possible hacks..

You can choose trustworthy bitcoin wallet. We all know that internet is dangerous place if we are not careful. Make a powerful password so that no one can hacked your account and don't share it to.your close friend coz sometimes your enemy is your best friend. Another thing is do not stored all your btc in one wallet address. It's wise to spread out your Bitcoin in small amounts across various wallet providers. Always be alert and do checking your account from time to time.

Using a secure wallet is the first step in keeping your Bitcoins safe. Among the safe wallet, look for Desktop Computer Wallets or (and) Hardware Wallets. Make sure your computer is protected, because if it is not, it may be useless to have a secure wallet. Never, under any hypothesis save the security key in files saved on the computer.

obviously, Bitcoin wallet is the safest way to keep bitcoins. For that i would like to prefer you to using Cold storage wallet which is offline base as well as which also  cannot be accessed and consequently hacked. So i think this is the most powerful way to keep safe your bitcoin at wallet.

Paper wallets are most secure ways for bitcoin storage. People are using this if they think of placing their assets for 5-10 years or so.

I would recommend three ways of storing Bitcoin. The first one is using Electrum. Electrum is a free, open-source program which allows you to create an encrypted Bitcoin wallet. You will be given 12 word seed which will be useful in case you lose your computer. The second one is a paper wallet. It's also free and you don't have to use computer! The only thing you have to do is to generate your wallet and print it. The last one is a hardware wallets. In my opinion it is the safest and the best method to store your BTC. It's more convenient than paper wallet and also comes with a backup seed.

Use trezor because it's already proven to be the safest hardware in storing bitcoins.
