The safest way is to use an offline wallet to store BITCOINS but also if you want to store it online then be sure to use a wallet which offers the facility of private key.One more thing is that you should keep changing your password after a regular interval .

A trusted offline wallet which you can carry in your pocket but the main thing here is to keep it in a safe place and make sure you keep the private key within different places in case something happens.

I wont reiterate what might have said in this thread so far.

I would like to add that I keep my wallets on a laptop that ha no internet connection a well as multiple cold storage devices that I alternate kinda like tape drives o I can wipe them in between coin moves.  Its overkill, but I refuse to get hacked over something silly I may of overlooked or laziness not doing it the proper way.

well , I think the safest way to keep your coins or bitcoin is with a cold wallet or nano ledger , trezor and wallets like these. don't use exchanges because you don't own your private key and this could be bad one day.

More secure than a desktop wallet is a hardware wallet. These wallets are bits of hardware, external devices like USB sticks which you can carry around on your person. An added benefit of a hardware wallet is the complete anonymity with which you can transact. Cool

The safest way for me to keep bitcoins is to buy a hardware wallet like 1-2 hardware wallets so you can diversify your money and you need to back up all those private key or some sort of back up options so you can sleep in every nigh very well because you don't need to worry about your money that are stored in those hardware wallets.

Hardware wallet is one of the safest way to be able to secure your money in Bitcoin. There is also cold storage, which is easy to operate.

Well, for example, I store Bitcoin on Electrum purse. In my opinion, one of the most reliable purses. But nevertheless I think to get a purse a flash drive - as on segodneshny day it is the safest way of storage кpиптoвaлют.

for me more secured the paper wallet and cold storage. Hardwallet buys it too expensive compared to paper wallet. I have read bad reviews on hard wallets like ledger. The private key or phrase key has a scratch and may be used it I do not know if I just read it here in this forum. reminders I'm not shy away from selling hard wallets.

If you want your Bitcoins to be safe, you should have hardware wallets ready so that you can place your money there in case you are not going to look at it in a while.

I guess keeping your bitcoins in an offline wallet such as a hard drive or a Nano Ledger is the best way to prevent your coins to be stolen by hackers or that you miss send them to some wrong addy , and like that the only way for your coins to be stolen is that hard drive get physically taken away from you and even so you can retrieve your coins using your recovery phrase which you must have set up when getting the coins into the ledger .

Safest way to keep your bitcoin and other coins is to store it in what they called hardware wallet which is available such as ledger nano and trezor, because hardware wallet is all yours you don't need to store it in paperwallet or online storage of coins, you hold it and it's just like a flash drive. It is pretty much safe and secure.

For me it is safe  to keep Bitcoin on a paper wallet and hide it on safe place.
Cold storage such as electrum or mycelium (just keep your seeds safe)
hardware wallet  such as nano ledger and trezor will work.

I agree that cold storage is the best way. For newbies, electrum could be the best option.
You can store your coins in cold storage and all you have to do is save the seed in a safe place. Remember where you kept them

The servers on which the bitcoins are stored are regularly attacked by hackers for the purpose of banal robbery. The question arises: how to organize the safe storage of its crypto-currency assets? First of all, do not trust online services. Such services are often hacked by outside hackers, and in addition, they are often organized by scammers, who once simply disappear with the accumulation of customers. The most reliable method is to place an offline wallet on a computer that is not connected to the Internet at all, or on an external medium, which is connected to the computer only if necessary and for a short while. Keeping bitcoins in your own offline wallet, you need to take care of the security of information on your computer. Install and activate a good antivirus program. Remember that free antiviruses are not reliable.
