Bitcoin isn't garbage, it may not be the most amazing thing out there, but it's definitely amazing.

Very well said and I think its great people talk about the bad along with the good. The thing is that it is also designed to be upgraded or changed through consensus so eventually we will agree on solutions to fix congestion and any other major problems we face.

The reason why they are saying that Bitcoin is a garbage? Is mainly because the rapid population growth of these Altcoins, for example ETH has been the top Altcoin now, and there are rumors that ETH will soon replace BTC. But that's not the case because BTC has already been using in countries that have already accepted it as payment. Why are you saying that BTC is a garbage?

Altcoins aren't going to replace bitcoin.

And there is no "rumour" that suggests that ethereum is going to be the "new bitcoin". All it had done is simply come close to bitcoin's market capitalization which in my opinion will probably not be the case in the near future as more and more people move their funds out of ethereum and into bitcoin in search of better liquidity and trading opportunities.

He has some good points in his article, but they are not properly researched and it's extremely biased coming from a central bank supporter as their author.

Its a realistic possibility that one or several altcoins will become bigger than bitcoin, but I agree with you in one area and that is that it doesn't and won't replace bitcoin. In my opinion there is room in the market for them to be bigger than bitcoin and work alongside it.

If and only if in the future there will be no more fiat and only cryptocurrencies, then If I am going to compare these "cryptocurrencies" to fiat money, it will be just like dollars and euros.

Where dollars have expanded massively in other countries, for example there are Hong Kong Dollars, Singaporean Dollars etc. but there is no Hong Kong Euros or Singaporean Euros, makes sense right?

Back to cryptocurrencies, BTC have already outnumbered ETH, its like Euros is competing for Dollars as well as ETH is competing for BTC, right?

Maybe it's just that the understanding of people in Bitcoin is not well enough so that they just care about the price, not deep enough for someone who just enjoys it. The article has a point, it can be treated as another way to earn money, by trading. That's why the prices are always fluctuating, the supply and demand of the cryptocurrencies, that's it.

I do agree it may not amazing for some people who really cant understand and hold the value of bitcoin . World goes in that way only if you cant get it or understand then it will be garbage. Who understand the value they will keep that as precious thing.

Since bitcoin is decentralized then the fluctuations of the price is common and bitcoin is not a garbage because of that. The pumps and dumps is very common and you can make profits with that if you know how to trade. If you have deep knowledge about bitcoin then you can easily understand why these things keep on happening and you will not be able to think some negative things about bitcoin.

That's true, it shouldn't be considered that it's trash because it's an innovation towards the future of transactions. It would be a lot of help using that into what they are made to do, to be pseudo-anonymous in your transactions and preventing middle man transactions.  There are a lot of places that you can research in order to learn more about Bitcoin.

I get the point and actually the article has a point but for those bitcoin owners who haven't invest a single fiat, and just earn it online. Well that is a big deal. Bitcoin is not just for gambling and money laundering it is some kind of a financial managing thing. An investment. Any one who built business has no certainty that everything will go well. They just take the risk, strategize and hope. What difference does that principle of business have when it comes to bitcoin?

Well it's a nice piece of 'garbage' I wouldn't mind owning right now. If you have just 150 pieces of it, here in Cyprus you can buy a three bedroom villa by the sea, so if anyone wants to get rid of their trash, I'm your man lol..What a load of baloney written in this article, but anyway, each to their own I guess?

I would like to read the take of those people who had similar mentality back in 2011-12 and they refused to invest even a penny in the Bitcoin. I agree that we should not consider past performance as a reflection of the future but bitcoin has introduced its potential over the time and new concepts are enough to draw a picture of the future of infinite possibilities of the bitcoin. Bitcoin is garbage those who fails to see its potential.

I really can't get the mind setting of these people. We did saw on how bitcoin's growth move and it's progress were on a positive chart. They can't look at the brighter side that bitcoin did really gave many people a big opportunity to earn and do something good when it comes to finances. But these people really don't appreciate, they always look on a very simple problem.

Sadly they don't maintain their stand over the time and get involved with it when they find that they were wrong. I think the same thing is going to happen with bitcoin and blockchain too, we will see many people coming in our community to use and try this technology in next few years. I think we shouldn't blame them as the not everyone has the same vision and risk bearing capacity. Today we have faith in where we have involved ourselves and probably critics will join us tomorrow when the growth of it will come within the area of their vision.

The progress of bitcoin's growth is very good and positive. We really can't blame them if they are seeing bitcoin as a garbage for them, they usually look for a perfect system or monetary medium which there's no perfect that is existing. Well I can say that those critics will be joining us soon and will regret that they stated bitcoin as a garbage.

I agree with the last part of the article.

Fast-growing rival ethereum was worth bupkis at the start of the year. Today it’s valued at $31 billion, or almost 10 times as much as the company ESRT, -0.42% that owns the Empire State Building.

Preposterous? You make the call.

Yeah, really preposterous. A scamcoin is worth more than an entire building full of con artists.

Is it true that there are bitcoin users that when you ask what a bitcoin is they will be answering like that? I don't think so, maybe some new people to these forum or new to digital currency but after being in these forum for a long time, I think they will understand it. And I don't take this article seriously, I don't know why, but when I finish reading it, I just don't care.

that made up interview in the article is what would it be like if he was speaking to someone who recently got into bitcoin.

Bitcoin may have aspects that are useful for some illegal works but calling it complete garbage..? cmon...

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

The article has a point. But I think as soon Bitcoin progresses and achieves the ultimate mainstream media attention, the purpose of Bitcoin will be further enlightened. Shops and store will begin to accept Bitcoin. But it all depends on the future.
I dont understand your point . Bitcoin already achieved mainstream media attention. As far current scenario there is now way of accepting bitcoin in shops and stores because of transaction fees and high waiting time for confirmation . If shops start to accept then they have to keep superate room for transaction waiting and confirmation people.
Yes it has already been achieved mainstream media attention. And no, in some countries that have already accepted BTC, few of those shops are accepting BTC as payment and don't even have to keep separate room for those transactions waiting and confirmations.

And by having the fact that BTC is decentralized, how could you say that they have to have a separate room for those transactions? I'm confused.

It is his own opinion with regards on bitcoins and I would respect it because there will always be 2 sides in everything that has a potential to have a conflict. At least he thoroughly states the reason why did he came up with that statement. One possible cause is that it already affects his life greatly that is not on a good side.
It is not the way to improve and increase their interest in bitcoin currency. that is just insane to say that Bitcoin has already show its potential portfolio to everyone. all the people is no aware at what extent Bitcoin can be profitable. no offence but can never let anyone in the long term Run. It is now available for everyone no limit anyone can earn through it. it is good in all respect and for everyone.

Is it true that there are bitcoin users that when you ask what a bitcoin is they will be answering like that? I don't think so, maybe some new people to these forum or new to digital currency but after being in these forum for a long time, I think they will understand it. And I don't take this article seriously, I don't know why, but when I finish reading it, I just don't care.
that is in fact such a precious garbage that everyone will like to have it. and specially those people who know about the importance of bitcoin. the most educated and richest people want to have such garbage in a large number and same is my case I want to have a number of bitcoin and for that reason I have almost invested my all asses in bitcoin and I am confident that this garbage  will give me a good profit and will make my life and future more secure and bright.

Bitcoin is useless and bad only for those people who do not know about bitcoin and cannot find his benefits in bitcoin as any person who will know about bitcoin they will find their benefits in bitcoin and they will easily accept bitcoin as a best payment way for themselves for any international payment system etc.

Agree with your point. Bitcoin is already a very beneficial currency and is having a very beneficial role in providing many people their earning for their living. Many students are now independent with the income of them which they are earning b adopting bitcoin.
