Segwit2x s been agreed on and as it seems now, it should be activated and ready for August 1. There will be NO BITCOIN FORK!

Keep your BTC in a Wallet & NOT an exchange, and stick your seatbelt on  , it should be fine providing that Segwit 2x proceeds as planned. |

Bitcoin will not end. I think we will zoom past $3000 and be at $4000 a week later.
We really need smart contracts on Bitcoin to maintain first mover advantage. Many in my circle are skipping Bitcoin and getting drawn into ETH smart contracts because of ICOs.

the activation of segwit it will change many things I hope for good yeah the price probably will drop like it happened with Ethereum, but after that event Bitcoin will be greater than ever.

For me, if that thing happens, I think its because of Rothschild family because they want to use their dollar currency around the world, and they also want to use their banking system around the world and they have went here in the philippines, glad that our president kicks them out because I think our president knew things about them too but I have read about gaddafi, the president of libya, he is murdered because he rejects the offer of rothshit. No Bitcoin will not end, It will only split in to two, But that will not become a problem because you can send your Bitcoin either of the two "correct me if i am wrong here that is what i have read in the past weeks". Its like ETH vs eth Classic.

The split that will happen on August would not probably be the grounds for bitcoins to die. There might be some who would be changing course and transfer to other alternatives but still there is still some who would be retaining on using bitcoins. There could be some adjustment(might be unstable on sometime on the first several days or weeks) but I think it can recover from the splitting afterwards.

this rumour will let them buy more bitcoins, even if the bitcoin ends that day, they get more bitcoins, the bitcoin is all the way rising. the end of bitcoin on 1st of August is to me nonsense, i would recommend to reserve some of the bitcoins and see what happens on 2nd of August.

There is no way to really say anything "real" about the future. There is only predictions. I beileve that the UASF is going to go well, Segwit is going to finally get implemented and btc will probably rise as a result. If a hard fork does happen, then all it means is that there is two versions of bitcoin running simultaneously. So it's just two ledgers, forked out of the original bitcoin, going different directions. EVen if this happens i think you shouldn't worry too much as within a month there will be a winner and is likely to be the core token. |

Then let me ask this. I'm holding 1 bitcoin and hard fork happened. What will happen? I'll have two different bitcoin? How about their market prices and exchange related issues? When one of them die, wouldn't the price of other stay much lower than current high price?  |

as long as the miners activate segwit before aug 1st there will be NO chain split eminent
a chain split could occur later this year if there is a contentious hard fork
