Any updates on that big BQC project you're working on?

Any updates on that big BQC project you're working on?

That big project has gotten even bigger and has now split off into several parts, which I have given to different people to work on. The original project has gone now, to be replaced by this collective bigger project.

Think of it as giving BBQcoin a real purpose other than just for trading for the sake of trading.

these coins are insanely cheap!  Have another 10 BTC that I just got in, I may be able to pick up 5% of all of these things!

They are very cheap and with what could be getting released in the short term future, now would be a good time. I have bought a few extra too.

Quick update on the Android wallet. We have gotten most of it working! We are currently working through the issue of connecting to peers. The Android client uses a DNS Seeder for bootstrapping, this is currently being deployed. A VPS with static IP has been setup on the foundation site dnsseed.bbqcoinfoundation.org dnsseed will be up and running shortly https://github.com/pooler/dnsseed

https://github.com/bigdaub/bbqcoin-wallet
https://github.com/bigdaub/bbqcoinj

Here is a little teaser. We look forward to launching it on Google Play once its finished.

Just to let you know BBQcoin.org is down due to a hosting problem. They have not given a timescale yet.

tagged, yes you will have to download the whole blockchain. Its a pain the first time but not bad keeping up. Take a look at the litecoin android app. It will be just like it.

Almost afraid to ask, but any chance there will also be a BlackBerry 10 app for this?
You know, you can easily convert Android apps to a BB10 app on the BB website online with their free tool.

If you need an additional seeder unit(s) for your app, let me know. I'm sure i can manage it into my current setup on my two VPS units.

Also, Any chance of turning this into a BQC version of BitcoinSpinner (aka not requiring the end-user to download the blockchain but storing their addresses private keys only on the device)?

On another note: My donation address has changed due to a failed HDD in my RAID 0 array. New address is: bVh8EJm6PxjgzbtaWkwZJ9ezPiwN6Bce2w

Veddy if you could setup an additional seeder that would be awesome. They can also be coded into the QT wallet for desktop bootstrapping. Here is a tutorial for setting up the seeder http://pastebin.com/UbKYH9qS I believe all you need to do is change all the ports from 9333 to 19323. Let me know how it goes!

Bitcoin spinner is a little more complicated than Schildbach's wallet. We can look into something like that in the future. Check out these links on how bitcoin spinner works. There is another mobile wallet for Android that doesn't require a block chain download but I don't think the keys are store on the device.

Great! We can use all the help we can get. BBQ has an exiting future. We now have shopping cart plugins that support BBQ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276455.0 and the Android app is soooooo close....
