Hello!
I want to note that DAS wallet works stably well! Masternodes bring profit, mining goes, DAS for its development time is not bad. The price will only grow, I assure you. Many people write about updating the source code, not understanding what it's for! I can update it every day! Add new checkpoints, etc!
I wanted to conduct a small survey of our community. What we really need:
1. What are you worried about in your wallet? New wallet is not working at all, old wallet is not syncing. Coins are listed on Nova, but wallets are disabled. Nova is closing. At this moment no possibilty to withdraw the coins. What is going to happen with these coins?
2. What kind of errors did you encounter? New wallet Masternodes not paying out. Old wallet not syncing, blockchain stuck for days. Coins on Nova can not be withdrawn.
3. What do you think needs to be changed and why? There has to be an working wallet soon. Stuck blockchain has to be fixed. DAS has to be listed on another exchange soon. Cryptopia offers half price for Nova coins now.

I see that DAS community is very active and big. I don't get it why Truckman doesn't give this coin to some other DEV if he can't maintain this coin.

Yeah dev is not real invested anymore. Might as well change the project name to "Secure and Decentralized" so that it will have a more suiting acronym.
Timeline of Das:
First few months: Truckman releases it, frequent updates, frequent changes, wallets more or less work, masternodes work fine, looks promising
Next few months: Checks in once every few weeks/months. His posts look more like bumps, doesn't respond to any questions or PMs. He asks for our feedback which he never uses.
Last few months month: Truckman does release new update but the version number is older than the previous version. Substantial changes were made to the code, however people are having problem with wallets and masternodes. The consensus is to keep using the previous code.
Recently: Wallet is in Maintenance mode on NovaExchange and has been that way for weeks. I figure they need input from Truckman before they can take it out, and he's not responding to them either. Now NovaExchange is going down and asking everyone to withdraw coins but obviously people can't when DAS is in maintenance mode
I'd say there is little hope to this coin unless Truckman hands it off to someone else or lets other developers be involved. It would be in his best interest assuming he still owns coins. If it tanks I'll be out about $140. At least my coins aren't stuck in Nova. The thing I liked about this coin was the low supply and low masternode buy in price. It allowed me to be able to afford a masternode and learn how to set one up. I'll agree that the Community has been great. They built a website, social media pages, got it listed on masternode website, documented masternode setup instructions etc...

I think Das will be dead if Dev does not want to list it on another exchanges and Now The wallet is not stable and it seems no working for sync. Until now I can not see Dev at any places . Perhaps He want to leave this project and he does not want to develop this coin anymore . It is time to stop supporting this coin and find some new interesting projects to join now. Do not waste your time to this coin .

To everyone who has DAS stuck on Nova and don't know what to do, Sell them for BTC, transfer that BTC to another exchange or your own BTC wallet. Yes you will have lost money but it's your only choice. For everyone else who has DAS in your own personal wallet/MNs, I'm afraid just like me you will lose all you have invested in this shitcoin, unless: - Nova fix their wallet but that isn't going to happen.
- DAS gets listed on another exchange but that's not going to happen with the current lack of a viable network.
- There's a community takeover at some point and the wallets and network gets fixed and people start mining it again, this is up to everyone!

Can the community take over the project if the dev is not doing anything? If yes, who'd like to join?
This question comes up about every two weeks. The community could take over but without the dev it would be a fork. Not to throw the Dev under the bus, but the main complaint is he is not very active on the forum nor very responsive to questions or bugs. So there are 3 main options: Fork it - Dev receives a reward (his premine) for no additional work, would be almost like starting a new coin without the Dev, would moderately protect those who had coins, but the majority of the benefit would be ot the Dev. Start a new coin - DaS is based on DASH, so it would be little more work to clone DASH again and start a new coin. Dev would not receive any reward. Find a new coin - If you feel that DaS isn't getting the support it needs, abandon it and find another coin. If you have developer skills, it would be far easier to contribute to an existing coin than to fork this one or start a new one. So really, unless you've got a HUGE holding of DaS, you're better off to chalk it up as a loss and go a different route. If you do have a HUGE holding of DaS, a fork might benefit you but probably not enough compared to the work load it would be.

Yeah...its a real shame with these types of coins/people that abandon their coins and don't look after them properly. There are so many coins of this type in the crypto world, which at the end of the day make the crypto market untidy with more than 30% being abandoned, which have been created to generate money for the 'devs' (if you could call them like that in this case). I guess another coin dead.
