That's an interesting question!!! Maybe my notions are somewhat outdated, but a wedding gift has to be more personal and well...tangible. If I consider it, the couple should have at least some idea about the value of Bitcoin. But then again, it's really impersonal. But that's just my opinion
If you create a polling you can understand majority of the users doesn't know anything about bitcoin at the beginning. Slowly little by little they started to learn more about it and now found successful. So, personally I will be gifting to wedding couple even if they were not aware of it. A small description is more than enough to make them understand.

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin. Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option. Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about." People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27Of course dude , gotta find a wife that knows bitcoin and other shit about cryptocurrency lol . But im still poor anyway even cant afford to pay internet bills . But soon mate i will get rich from these coin shit and i will make my own project with billions profit

Maybe if my friend is a bitcoin user too, but if he/she is not, Of course I would not. But I think bitcoin is a good gift for a wedding because it is decentralized and they can used it to travel the world more easier, like some new wedded couples do.

A small description is more than enough to make them understand. Sending them bitcoins as a gift is like giving them an invitation to join and invest in bitcoin. So basically, it is a win-win situation both of our parts due to being beneficial, yet meaningful. Even if the couple has zero knowledge about it, sending them bitcoins as a gift will give them the awareness about the existence of bitcoin and this may provide them the opportunity to invest once they fully understand cryptocurrencies. The determining factor that may hinder me from sending bitcoin as a gift is their nature as a couple. If both are known as investors, then bitcoin may be the perfect gift! But if they are the kind of people who are very sentimental, then giving them that is tangible is the obvious choice.

Giving wedding gifts is not a big deal at all. We can give any precious gifts because that's a very important day of people's lives. If my friends are also bitcoiners like me and I think they deserve to have a bitcoin as my wedding gift. Definitely I would give them if I had much.

Maybe on future you use bitcoin as gift to wedding or give bitcoin to some person that use bitcoin either groom or bride.
I think in coming days it is going to be an option for giving Bitcoins to married people as a gift but people should accept it. The demand for Bitcoin is kept increasing so people who are aware of Bitcoin will surely accept Bitcoin as their Wedding gift.

I can see this happening in coming years, bitcoin is a good idea as a wedding gift and I think its very practical. I have attended plenty of weddings and the couple prefer to receive cash for their wedding instead of things because we all know that starting a little family is not easy so they need more cash than things.

Giving bitcoin as a wedding gift is like giving a money, it's not meaningful. Wedding is an important occasion by two lovers vow to spend their lives together in marriage. We should give a valuable things with an effort to give them on their wedding for them to appreciate much. Wedding is just a one time celebration, we should make it special.

It's very weird if the bitcoins are the best gifts Bitcoins are money mean money is your gift? But we can not say because other people have different look at bitcoins. It can be gold or whatever else it's money for me But we have our own perspective so I respect it.

No sorry for that but my bitcoin is precious to me. I will give a good amount of money or maybe getting them a trip for honeymoon. And when they asked where I got my money there I would say about the bitcoin. Maybe I could encourage them to try it. If I would give bitcoin as a gift and they do not know anything about bitcoin, perhaps they will not much appreciate it.
Agree with you bitcoin is very valuable and it is impossible to divide it for wedding gifts, I will also give a gift of paper money for his honeymoon for easy use Yes, you’ve got a point. How can someone be sending a bitcoin to newly wedded couples that doesn’t even know anything about Bitcoin? Please that doesn’t sound wise, I better give them money. They might not value. But whether they value it or not, I still choose to give them money than Bitcoin.

I prefer giving cash or gifts to newlyweds rather than bitcoin...why? Because there are still people who don't know bitcoin and they might not appreciate it...it will juat go to waste if they don't know how to used bitcoin...

I recently got married and I would have loved to get bitcoin as a gift! I do agree that most people probably wouldn't know what to do with bitcoin if they got it. Maybe the real present would be some bitcoin and a lesson on what it is and how to use it?

Isn’t that something? Bitcoin can be made into as a wedding gift. It is becoming more and more like money as the years go by that we can give easily and casually. But if I’m asked right now if I would give it as gift, I’d say no. Maybe Tupperware or a coffee machine but bitcoin? No. I’m struggling as it is to earn bitcoin right now and I can’t afford to give it away as a gift. I see no profit in it. Maybe in a couple of years, when I’m hopefully have Bitcoins to spare to give as a gift, maybe then.

Sad to say, no. I will never give bitcoin as a gift. Wedding is one of the most unforgettable moment you will ever had in your life. So I guess, a gift should be something special. It should be unforgettable too. It should have a sentimental value. A gift that if you hold it or only see it, you will remember that big event of your life. If you give bitcoin as a gift, it is just like giving money or cheque and I think it's not that cool.
It is just being realistic and true to yourself. I also would not gift bitcoin as bitcoin is so precious to me. Maybe just give them gift that is remarkable that would become memorable to the couple. Anyways, if the couple do not know or have knowledge of bitcoin, they will not appreciate it. So I will just keep my bitcoins and let its value become double.
