I do not mind mining craziest AND/OR funniest AND/OR least popular AND/OR worthless coin out there simply for the kicks, but whats up with the coin not being able to sync...

With this I am connected to 10 hosts ATM, but the wallet tells me for the part hour I am ~356073 blocks behind... Any cure for that and why would it not sync up like the other more popular coins do?

I mean what is the point of mining anything that one would not even be able to see?

You can't get a good connection or download the chain correctly because there are bad nodes out right now.

Is anyone still mining this coin?  What's the difficulty like?  I just want to mine some coins for the sake of mining.

The difficulty is awfully high for its hashrate. It might be facing the spiral of death right now. With Bitcoin, difficulty retargets every 2016 block round. If we were to get 25 blocks into the round, and the hashrate halved, then each block would take twice as long to mine, and it would take about 3 weeks to correct. Same thing may have been here. Difficulty retargets every 480 blocks, but if hashrate drastically drops (say from 10 mh/s to the 0.87 mh/s now) in that example it would take almost 11 days for difficulty to retarget.

BBQCoin might be up your alley. Or, if you just want to mine for the hell of it. I recommend mining something worthwhile like Bitbar or DigitalCoin or Mincoin or something along those lines.

Hi

Just to inform you I have added Royalcoin to my escrow services and I can now perform trades between users. Whether you are buying items, digital services or wish to swap to other cryptocurrencies you can now.

I charge a rate of 3% for standard transactions but this can be lowered for exceptionally high amounts or volume discounts.

Please visit www.KoolioEscrow.com to carry a trade out!

Please note if you wish me to add a manual orderbook if your coin has no exchange presence this can be done, but rates would be 5% or a sizeable donation from devs in return for a lower % fee for all trades.

Please PM or contact me through my site as I may miss replies on forum threads....

Thanks

Koolio

Just added Royalcoin charts to my site:
http://cryptometer.org/royalcoin_90_day_charts.html

Yes, difficulty is too high for the network hashrate at the moment.  Only 3 or 4 block are being generated a day.  The software will say that it is "out of sync" because it hasn't received a block in so long.  But it really is in sync.

Just use the same conf file for every coin. Copy paste it change the filename and nodes and mine away...
