+1 Though, I'd rather see an official YAC website with information about releases, official downloads for different platforms OSX, Windows, and Linux. Also would be good to add YAC to btc-e.com +1 on that too

I'm actually waiting for YAC on BTC-E +10 for YAC on BTC-e Has anyone written to BTC-e? Though I'd much rather see a focus on wider adoption. That is, getting YAC accepted by shopping sites. Why? Because YaCoin is about 60 times faster than Bitcoin. Because YaCoin is about 60 times faster than Bitcoin. I think you mean because this is one alt-coin you managed to adopt early What for heaven's sake makes YaCoin better than any other coin release the last month?

Fair point, but have you actually tried YAC? It's the fastest I've used. Try it and then post. And to answer you (fair) point: As with many folks out there who have only a few CPUs, I have also actually managed to get _some_ YAC, which is more than I can say for other altcoins. I believe the wide dissemination of coins is going to be one of the strong points for YaCoin. Adue

- A vast user-base holding the currency (unlike all other altcoins, this was CPU only solo mining) - PoS and PoW (long-term power efficiency) - Real GPU resistance via sliding N in scrypt - Ultra-fast confirmations - A reasonably good developer (pacopaco) and an enthusiastic community I think that's a enough to distinguish YaCoin as the most attractive altcoin (since PPC).

Without some sort of block chain pruning it's not going to last very long.

Well since they added the joke coin BQC, so I can see they add another joke coin.
Btw, YAC is not a CPU coin, I know there are people mining on GPU with modified miner scripts as we speak.
really? that is upsetting news:( i'll give my laptop cpu a break then for now.

can you give some more informations about GPU mining at YAC or even a proof that someone is mining via GPU? ........ What for heaven's sake makes YaCoin better than any other coin release the last month?

+1. This will be on exchange sites. It actually brings an improvement to litecoin copy-cats, as this is a totally new scrypt algorythm the first of it's kind. It's like litecoin when it first started
