Hi nekonos

Perhaps you could provide us with an update on parts procurement?
With the Klondike boards now in final beta I can see a lot of builders have started bulk buying parts ready to manufacture the boards when the chips arrive.
And I can see bulk buying is already causing component shortages with some lead times up to 14 weeks.

Could you provide an update on:
1. Are you using eurocircuits.com for PCB manufacture?
2. Have you found someone to assemble the boards?
3. Did you get in early and source all the parts/components required? If not do you have lead times for the missing items?
4. Are you flashing your own PIC's or will you be buying them in from BkkCoins (with or without license)?

Thanks.

@bizwoo @nekonos any news on sample chips and what's the status on getting all parts required for assembly and getting at least a prototype assembled without chips?

Hi, unfortunately, no news about the sample chips yet.

Batch 1's sample chips are now 1 month delayed.
Batch 2 is now in week 4 of the order and there is no news about sample chips either.

nekonos is doing all possible to get hold of some chips asap so that he can get a proto together based on the latest beta of k16 from bkk. He's ordered components for this.

cheers.

Did you try to ask manufacturer for sample chips?

Hi Toudi, tried everything possible to contact AVALON with not reply yet. But finally, it seems that Yifu came alive and we will 'probably' have some news soon (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269950.0).

I'm not sure if I'm more shocked by what Avalon has stated has happened, or by all the angry replies that are going on in the main topic about it.
Kind of sad all round.

Orders' Status - First batch

Order #10605 made on June 8, 2013. Order status: chips ordered. @20/06/2013

So if chips ordered on 20/06/2013 + 10 weeks lead time would give us an estimated delivery for the first week of September, correct?

According to the latest news from Avalon wrt chip delivery, might we still be on track?

This will all depend on whether they are able to clear up the backlog they have created or not. I myself am not really sure they will manage. But we will more or less know next week once they resume shipping (if they do) by looking at the rate they'd be delivering.

Batch 1: Order #10605 made on June 8, 2013. Will be due mid/end August.
Batch 2: Order #11321 made on July 6, 2013. Will be due mid/end September.

I take the opportunity to ask all the members of the Group Buys (both batches) to PM me with an email address where you can be easily reached. I will start preparing by collecting actual assembly requirements from buyers as well as final chips/miners destination. For this I am preparing a small website that will help us achieving this. Please make also sure you have verified your btc address with your username as I will not accept emails from unverified addresses.

You will know the website is actually ready as you will receive an email with username, password and website link in order for you to login and provide/update your assembler and chips/miners destination.

Cheers.

Hi all,

We have the web almost ready, you can go and registering Minerfactory.com

We still have to check the shipping rates for Spain and Europe. For shipping outside of the European Union we recommend using the hosting service.

We hope that this weekend BkkCoins begin testing beta boards, the forecast is that we receive beta PCB next Friday.

When the product is tested and work fine, we will activate the orders in website.

We also test k1 model we  will offer a fully assembled with chip included, if you have the chip will be deducted in the order.

Regards
