How do you obtain a masternode? Someone said you need 10,000, if you get that what do you do? Just hold it in your wallet?

Correct, you would stake it in your wallet and the coins would get locked up for x amount of time.

Hi,
just found this project. it got my attention because Mr Spagni (monero core dev, fluffypony) seems to be an advisor of the project.
just a few questions:
1) will people who send messages with your messenger have to pay for EACH single message they make? are those messages transaction based like sending bitcoins? 2) how much "master-nodes" do you think will your network need in the future? and how will that affect the supply needed? (as i understood, you, the devs, will always have the decission over, if master nodes will be taken down or not - increase/decrease amount to be hold in your wallet. someone could think thats a -centralized- decission point) 3) you were developing the past three years your messenger. is there anyone in your team which has a blockchain development background? the whitepaper is very "un-technical" and more marketing based - so im just asking, because you are claiming to build a "platform" and not just a messenger.
thanks.

Hello, I have attempted to compile them in our growing public Obsidian FAQ Trello board. The most relevant team members will be answering you shortly. Usually you will find that you can get more immediate responses through asking in our public Slack group too. Thanks!

1) will people who send messages with your messenger have to pay for EACH single message they make? are those messages transaction based like sending bitcoins?
The payment side of it will be little to none for text messages. In the beginning it may incur a fee (we're talking tiny fractions of an ODN) whereas files will require slightly larger ones, though still minuscule to the individual user. As the user-base grows the fees will decrease. We believe at that time txt can be reduced to free.
2) how much "master-nodes" do you think will your network need in the future? and how will that affect the supply needed? (as i understood, you, the devs, will always have the decission over, if master nodes will be taken down or not - increase/decrease amount to be hold in your wallet. someone could think thats a -centralized- decission point)
Perhaps i'm not really understanding this question as this would make the same assumption across all masternode including coins. It's just an option for the coin, all of which are predetermined by the source that created them, as is the case with generally every coin. We would not just "take down" a masternode unless it no longer meets the standard to actually exist as a masternode.
3) you were developing the past three years your messenger. is there anyone in your team which has a blockchain development background? the whitepaper is very "un-technical" and more marketing based - so im just asking, because you are claiming to build a "platform" and not just a messenger.
One of our head developers (Blackstone) is a blockchain dev and will be handling the integration of the app along with the future dev of the platform itself. Onedev has a huge coding background and, though he is in fact new to blockchain dev, he is a master of languages and will be a huge boon in any part of the project that may come our way. He's actually handling the gen block as we speak. Shad has been involved in blockchain dev since 2013 (when I met him).
thanks.
Please see responses in red.

Please note that sharing on your personal facebook does not count towards the bounty. I've updated your balance accordingly. Can you send me the information in PM as well?

Thanks to all the supporters. We just passed 1.6m ODN sold and we see everything picking up steam as more OSM info is released. Only 1 more day for the 20% bonus during the presale!

Correct, you would stake it in your wallet and the coins would get locked up for x amount of time. It is also worth noting that all Obsidian applications must include an integrated wallet in order to function. Our plan is to have a client which enables you to put your 'Masternode' request to the network.
