... aaaaaaand now another connection issue here. The wallet doesn't connect to the TOR network.

* I have whitelisted it on Windows' firewall.

* I already added that DeepOnion.conf file in AppData as described in the OP. Still no luck.

* TOR Browser works fine in the same PC.

* Another PC in the same LAN doesn't connect either.

The conf file must be added in the same folder as the wallet.dat - that is, C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\DeepOnion (win10)

The wallet is working now. Can't anyone improve the wallet so that the conf is added and the server list updated automatically?

It's actually automatic, in many cases conf file is not needed.

I can second that steps like this end up becoming a bane for onboarding new members. You can have all of the colorful images you want breaking down the step by step process, videos, etc. You will still have people who can't figure it out. Dealt with the same issues on a number of coins. It is better to set up these conf files on the front end than to expect the end user to do it on the back end.

Even if this is an issue that only affects a certain percentage of users (I was one who was affected), it should still be streamlined.

Just my two cents.

yes i agree there will be a ton of people who will have issues setting it up. but also doesn't that mean more coins for people who do figure it out

I had 0.89 Onion on my balance sheet. As I already understood, for the daily launch of your wallet, developers give a small reward, which I had 0.06 Onion.

I finaly started mining with my GTX 1070 and im getting around 160 khs...

I see that people on forum are mining with 5-6 mhs or more...

So my should have give me around 15mhs or something...

I dont know what im doing wrong? I use ccminer-2.0 and latest drivers from nvidia

Hope anybody can help me mine my first ONION

Windows 8.1 x64 ccminer 2.0 cuda
Core clock: +150
Memory: -502
But I think that these settings can be overclocked. I did not experiment.

Just start it and check after few minutes if you can see some connections there here you can see at the sample is 65 nodes connected


If not follow the path of creating DeepOnion.conf file in Appdata folder and put inside nodes that can be connected to.

We did this in order to be able to check wallet balances without problems. Empty wallets does not answer well in block explorer, at least some of them, when there is some coins in wallets we can check them without issues. As one of the rule was to follow wallet balances we made sure we can see all wallets.  

We will do another batch of payment soon for those few we skipped while paying so all will be paid equally
