Can someone explain, how staking is working?
I run my wallet about week ago, and did`t close it. Wallet is working all the week. And i allready recieved some DeepOnions from mining pool.
But Stake counter is still 0 (zero)
I was read the first message in this thread, but still did`n know, how it is work?

Some times it takes more time but eventually it will get there.

It's a good question @Frank37 and I hope the DO Team find the time to answer it. If it less than expected and/or hoped for I would like to think that we 'early adopters' that are participating will attract extra reward - which I imagine would attract extra participants in the next round.

I expect there are people who will be waiting to see whether the first airdrop (based on participation that is) works out okay before committing themselves to what is after all a very long, and perhaps tedious, distribution of DO.

Others of course will wait for independent review of the DO tech. The TORcoin debacle left a bad taste in many folks mouths - and there remains the risk that the DO Team may in the end prove to be untrustworthy.

That said, I prefer at this stage to be cautiously optimistic and keep as close an eye on proceedings as I can.

TORcoin is a crap, as i can't even connect it with an onion address. DeepOnion is quite different, it has visual indicators for TOR network connection and shows the onion address you connected. So it is a proven coin that uses TOR, unlike TORcoin did only the claims.

damn...10 posts since July 14...hmmm well I should bitcointalk on my phone then and post on the go.  I'm sure a lot of my posts are close to the 100 character mark.  Anyways I wanted to say I'm seeing a lot of DeepOnion signature banners on the forum now.  Good job, plus the airdrop lasts a long time, so the banners will stay there too.  I think this coin has much potential.

About the 100 character per 10 post rule. Is there any leeway at all. Do you check it manually or is it some script that checks it. Say for example one would post 9 posts of 100+ characters and randomly post more below 100 characters - will one then be excluded from that weeks airdrop?

I am not sure about there, we actually targeted another exchange as dev team but this idea come from a community member so i shared without much investigate. Please find out and tell us whats c-cex about. As a basic marketing idea its much better we appear in all exchanges big and small ones all needed!

I dont think you need a min of coins to stake what you need is the coins to stay in ur wallet for a few blocks before they become mature and you get stake rewards.

It's fixed thank you. Also we will count first Airdrop (21 Jul) all posts over 50 characters as valid!!
And the following rounds will be based on 100 characters.

Small amounts like 0.001 can stake. Allow your ONIONs mature enough 1 or 2 days so they can stake!

if you use a non-default datadirectory, it will hang on startup. unless you add two folders ("onion" and "tor") to said non-default datadirectory  "onion" and "tor"

Most exchanges we will need to pay BTC per vote. Should we run a vote and see where most of our community trades? This way we will be able to generate more "free" votes.

Yes, so I guess not everybody can vote just like that, thank you for confirming. People should know before opening up new accounts just to find out they can't vote without depositing funds there.

I like onion but I dont like premine of 90 % and airdrop this big. So miner is in bad position. I will waith to see how many i will get by airdrop then decide to continue to mine or stop
