Some part from the FAQ updated we hope now it's clearer to understand. 10. How do I know that I'm connected to the TOR network and my IP is hidden? On the bottom right corner of the QT client you can see a TOR indicator. When it turns green you have joined the TOR network with a typical TOR address. If you hover the mouse over the TOR icon you will see your TOR address being displayed (see picture below). You can also check your IP address by going to Help->Debug Window, Click on “Console”, then type “getinfo”, you’ll see your IP address (also see below wallet images ). Also you can run this getpeerinfo command HELP -> Console From this, you will see your local IP and Tor network IP. Your public IP (from your Internet Service Provider) is never published anywhere. Sometimes the Tor button may not be green. When this happens it means that your IP address is either 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 (local) in the peer network. No one will ever know your public IP! Whether it is an onion address or 0.0.0.0/127.0.0.1, your public IP will never be revealed. The only connection that is ever made is ALWAYS over the TOR Network. Some people may have an unstable network causing the symbol to change between grey and green. This usually occurs at the time where the onion address changes or at the beginning of the connection. 11. Does the DeepOnion Wallet act as an Exit Node on The Tor Network, are there any legal risks?Deeponion wallet is not exit node and you don't have to fear legal issues.

lol, saw some pre-ICO coin guy try to post garbage in this thread, they probably found a wrong one. This coin is in direct contradiction with all those ICO coins and must make them quite uncomfortable But this is what we want, a coin with NO ICO and freely distributable

I am really wondering those (especially newbie started) ICOs that we see everyday (possible 5-10), will they be able to get anything, they look very stupid to me.

Some people think they have right to know which wallet belongs to who. This is why we created the DeepOnion

Just signed up to the airdrop, but I can't seem to find where to add my avatar? Or can members have avatars ?
The project looks very promising, now I'm just waiting for my coins. By the way if you need a swedish translator you can contact me.
Avatar is not mandatory and you cannot use avatar before reaching full member rank in bitcointalk forums. Can you feedback us about this swedish translation here at this URL: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2041500.0 will be appreciated. The swedish translation looks very good indeed, only thing I noticed was that the "next airdrop time" is static, it's not updated and still shows 28 Jul as the next one. Otherwise it's a solid translation.

It's getting crowded in here Did someone have a similar message in their wallet like I had below? While staking it gave me a part of a coin. I only saw it in the explorer: "Date: 29-7-2017 23:24 Source: Generated Debit: 0.00 ONION Net amount: -50.03 ONION Transaction ID: 53c09e39789a8866903c50c811c69c26b96eb379a3ed6a917cf5a2d93a5540dd Generated coins must mature 110 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours." Does that happen often? Guess I'm unlucky :/

I saw some people express their concerns about the windows client and total virus check results, I did a fresh compilation of the DeepOnion windows client, and the total virus shows a perfect clean result: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/ede627a45eeb5da1968c108d351a1577cd74203e8baffcefe2ba10709aba941c/analysis/1501524847/I uploaded the client here: https://mega.nz/#!U8hRkDbJ!7SQKmAZ9T7ggumzKQBQK4CD5zLZxH_oYoYicgNjFWHYThere's a problem with TotalVirus, that many other coins noticed and there are discussions in their corresponding threads, such as Zclassic, Zcoin, to name a few, that a wallet client, initially tested perfect clean, in 2 weeks, will show some issues if you retest. This is a problem of the total-virus, and all the "issues" are false positives. This problem is not to DeepOnion alone, but to almost all altcoin wallets, as witnessed by many discussions in different threads. The deeponion wallet is perfectly clean, as shown by the report above. If you have concerns, just compile yourself from the source, and test yourself. This is a very simple thing to do, and it is the right way to do instead of a few people irresponsibly spread false rumours (these people, of course, have other purpose in mind).

Why developers ignore my question? In anybody doesn't it cause concern? why you can't give to @crypto-rainbow the definite and clear answer? What do you try to hide?
The community has to know to whom these 7 purses belong. 90% of all existing ONION are the huge sum.
this has been answered on the previous pages already. If you don't like the answer, repeating it, will not change the outcome. Either accept it, or if you don't trust this coin or devs, there are 900 more alt-coins you might trust instead! I'm sure he will answer your questions, just give him some time for an answer. You can't expect to answer on more difficult questions in 5 minutes

One thing I can understand is that this coin affected the interests of some other coins who wanted to do ICOs (or pre_ICOs as in one of these guys' signature). If I were dev, I'd just ignore and delete these posts, they go nowhere.

Some people think they have right to know which wallet belongs to who. This is why we created the DeepOnion True the goal of deeponion should be the anon. part. In case of airdrop rules everyone knows the wallet of all members cause we have to have it in our profil. That fact is k8nd in opposite to your post I quoted.

We will have to wait for Deepsend and the end of the airdrop. As I understand it, deepsend lets you transfer your onions to a new adress without the possibility to trace it back to your old address.

Hello everyone, i think the deeponion community is quite large... Why don't we vote for deeponion be listed on some exchanges such as poloniex or bittrex
do what ever you like, none will stop you to vote for deeponion be listed on the exchange you wish for....but..don`t count on community at least you won`t get my support I agree, everyone can do what they want but I won't support a early listing on exchange. I think it's better to build a big and good community before listing it. But it's only my opinion, the decision must ne taken by the team and I'm sure that they know where they (we) are going

We need a healthy community, I hope dev will ban those who fud and attack this coin from receiving further airdrops. These people are distorted in their human character, they want the coin and they want to attack the coin at the same time, silly.

When the Wallet is started, it is not yet TOR protected by default, I guess? I would need to run it over a local TOR instance (Settings, Options, Network)? Or am I already secure by opening the wallet?
When the wallet is fully synched it is connected to TOR automatically. You don't have to do anything else. IT's an awesome feat.
