No， I don't think so. A lot of Altcoins support both pos and pow. Just search keywords pos+pow or hybrid . Key point for Onion are Tor and the great community. If I wasn't right, anyone can correct me. |

I remember the early few days when you could mine 15 coins per hour. Now with difficulty at constant >10k, I get ~15 a day.  |

its getting harder and harder for mining. in one day the it have half the earnings from mining from 50 to 25 coins per 24h.
On other side its a good thing, its means more are getting involved and the value will increase.
