Do i need to download TOR itself, before i can use the wallet?
Download the wallet. It will connect to the TOR network automatically. No special steps to do this. My wallet always stuck at 'connecting to the tor network..' and never connects. Is gets synced correctly though. This can take up to a few minutes! How long do you wait? Forever like my wallet never connects to TOR.Everything else works like blocks are downloaded correctly.I thought deeponion wallet should not connect if tor is not connected by the wallet first.

As long as it's synced, it's fine.

If you check your info on the console you are still connected via tor nodes even when the "connecting to TOR network" icon is blue. You're ALWAYS connected via TOR. That's the only way to connect to the network.

Am i able to still get in on the airdrops?
You may read the rule to see whether you meet the requirements. For example, your bitcointalk account should be registered befor July 12nd ,2017 if my memory correct. Somebody mentioned, Member rank is also necessary in the new rule.

My wallet always stuck at 'connecting to the tor network..' and never connects. Is gets synced correctly though. Nothing to worry about I think, as long as it syncs. It just means you are not acting as a node for the network but it should have no effect on you. Are you in China?

No Anyone here staking deeponion. How many onions do you make daily by this method compared to mining? 10% daily for the first year, but sometimes you can't stake because the weight is too much (too many people stacking), e.g. if you have 4k in your wallet you should receive 4 new onions every day.

Just wanna ask about this issue. I set my wallet unlock for staking. I wait for 2 days and check the transactions and this is the report.
Why is not accepted? thanks for reply
It was orphaned - it can happen, bad luck! ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) And this, unfortunately, occurs quite often. Just wanna ask about this issue. Why is not accepted? thanks for reply It was orphaned - it can happen, bad luck! ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Orphaned blocks is very common for POS coins and does no harm. If you are "unlucky" and get an orphaned block, this is not counted in your POS records and you will get with the next block you "mint" or "stake" a bigger reward! Overal you will get your 10% stake yearly as long as you open your wallet at least every 30days. (better keep it open all the time!)

I guess your question is what the safest wallet is? So far, I guess you should still try latest onion wallet version 1.1 from https://deeponion.org/DeepOnion.zip. The wallet of the new version added latest checkpoints to protect network.

You can check here: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deeponion-forum-mining-index.671/The community pool (check my profile) has a port for GPU's, but expect very low payouts with a GPU. If it is worth the effort, that's up to you. Coins might get more value over time, making it more profitable to mine. But the network diff is really high. (everybody wants Onions!) ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Eh dont even bother to mine onion-s with laptop GPU... It will fry you graphic and you wont mine any.
If you have some GPU rigs you might try, but again difficulty to high.
