Received a surprise visit from an intern at coinmarketcap that stopped by The New York Coin Center! He reports directly to the owner. Hopefully this issue with Dan denying updates and removing the REAL NYC LINKS / RESOURCES will be resolved shortly.

Doubt it. Real dev community forming as I write. Getting ready to release bitcoinj for newyorkc. And official NYC dev/advisory team will be announced in the coming weeks at newyorkcoin.net. They have impressive resumes. Enjoy the REAL while its in your presence.

P.S. MrSlosh and hobbyist may get an invite. Anybody else to consider from the clown posse? NO WEBSITE DEVELOPERS NEEDED.

Hello all,

Just wanted to pop in for a minute to share a list of the current nodes that are in the auto-gen'ed conf file for the 1.2 wallet. I don't come on here much so I'm not sure if this has been shared recently or not.

Anyway, just add this to your newyorkc.conf file and you will be good to go! (Just add it to the list that is in there already, feel free to remove duplicates if you like).

Code:
addnode=62.213.218.23
addnode=67.86.78.250
addnode=71.34.149.166
addnode=71.68.213.80
addnode=73.54.142.171
addnode=76.95.178.229
addnode=82.251.255.101
addnode=141.126.150.52
addnode=157.161.128.51
addnode=163.172.222.175
addnode=170.247.210.88
addnode=173.56.27.29
addnode=174.66.176.135
addnode=207.38.237.43
addnode=209.122.196.148
addnode=nyc.theincrediblemachine.tv
addnode=62.213.218.8

Keep on keeping on!

Also this is the first time I've heard anyone mention smart contracts for NYC. Not sure where that information is coming from. There is a lot of work to be done before that is even a consideration.

MrSlosh,

Can you tell us why only 2 of 8 dedicated nodes that have always and still work flawlessly are listed above?

addnode=76.95.178.229:17020

addnode=120.77.149.118:22556
addnode=118.123.245.243:22556

It's likely they were rejecting connections when the list was made.

From the debug logs
Code:
trying connection 76.95.178.229:17020 lastseen=395312.9hrs
2018-04-07 18:40:14 connected 76.95.178.229:17020

2018-04-07 18:40:14 disconnecting node 76.95.178.229:17020

Not seeing most of the others in the recent debugs. Will add those back and see what I get! I will let you know what I find.

Minor edit to remove a wrong ip I was checking.

Ok, here's what I get from adding those nodes

Code:
 82.200.205.30:17020 using version 60003 /RabbitCoin:1.1.0.2/ from other client; disconnecting

 //not accepting connections
 trying connection 5.101.122.184:17020 lastseen=395460.4hrs
 trying connection 213.239.211.229:17020 lastseen=395460.4hrs
 trying connection 188.40.78.31:17020 lastseen=395460.4hrs
 trying connection 120.77.149.118:22556 lastseen=395460.4hrs

 118.123.245.243:22556 using version 70004 /Shibetoshi:1.10.0/ from other client; disconnecting

so 6 out of 8 are either not accepting connections or are no longer nyc nodes.

The old wallet doesn't disconnect from wallets from other coins because there is no check to make sure they are valid nyc nodes.

The addnode=76.95.178.229:17020,  is at it's max that I allow.  That is probably why your getting rejected.

I can increase it,  won't take affect until next restart of the coind.

Tested the following myself,  Seems to jive with MrSlosh.

If I may give a suggestion to your new dev team.  Look to the community's latest build and work on the DNS seeding.  If both you and the community can host a DNSseeder, that would be a great step forward.  Lets stop relying on hardcoded nodes, manual addnodes and IRC discovery.

When MrSlosh and I picked the nodes for the .config generation,  I just took my most reliable current connections.

Code:
addnode=76.95.178.229:17020
    Known Connections full

addnode=82.200.205.30:17020

Here is my current list of outbound connections and my node is supporting 52 inbound.  Looks to be a healthy network.

How does conference call sound toward end of this month? I would like to form a solid core development and advisory team without the "noise" and distraction from discord community. Have you encountered any other devs besides MrSlosh from community/discord that you would recommend bringing onto the team?

i think NYC ca be like Stellar XLM  | Move Money Across Borders Quickly, Reliably, And For Fractions Of A Penny.

Stellar Total Supply  103,847,435,165 XLM SIMILAR to  NYC
PRICE  ALSO  has  low like now NYC 0.0009 $ last year

YOU CAN OFFER NEW WORKS with NYC  like  for example decentralised exchange (DEX).

You have no dev's nor a team. it is just you and all your different nick names, hyping and acting like you own the coin and have a team behind you.
Having a little store front and call it "the new york coin center" and the director of it does not make you anything else than a investor/supporter.
The coin have NO director and NO owner. 100% community owned, and the only active team and developers can be found on discord and all the other links at coinmarketcap. You own the old social media sites and you just delete anything that does not suit you and your intentions, keeping it sensored from the people not knowing what's going on and that there are new "official" and transparent sites with actual dev's and team behind it communicating with the community.

Don't know why you try so hard to pretend that you are anything else than a miner and supporter (scammer?). Your history of fooling people and hyping the sh!tt out of the coin for 4 years with different nick names, fake promises, fake bounties, fake foundation behind the coin have failed and hurt the coins reputition. You should learn from your mistakes and join the latest transparent community and not be so desperate to try to own and controll it. There is a reason why the community took the coin back and had to start over cleaning up the mess, and that is because they found about the coin was just run by you and all your fake hype and no intention to run it together with a community and dev's as it should.

Stay tuned...

Your "Organizer-in-Chief" will not disappoint.

I guess agentob is not one coming recommended with dev skills? So far from the "community" website we have MrSlosh and Hobbyist. Anyone else?

P.S. agentob, I have donated more NYC than you could ever hope to acquire. Get the picture?  Shocked

NYC contributions:

1. newyorkco.in website (to publish accurate links/resources after original dev disappeared and nycoin.net went dormant). I seemed to be the first person to understand the real-world ramifications of NYC specs and published for all to comprehend the amazing power and future usability of NYC network

2. original mining to ensure network survival (2014)

3. Coinmarketcap listing

4. bitcointalk forum (promoted/advocated NYC benefits and organized supporters with more tech skills than myself to create NYC mining pools, block explorers, nodes)

5. social media

6. nycoin.net and newyorkcoin.net websites

7. Yobit exchange

8. Coinomi / Electrum-X

9. NYC merchant acceptance

10. THE NEW YORK COIN CENTER in New York City

COMING SOON: Experienced devs and advisors that will help take NYC to the next level (Team will be announced later this month!)

Can you PLEASE do your part and someday list 1.
