Now, that Zack is out and the new runners have done their ICO I think they are taking their time in trying to deciphers Zack's work and tweak.

As Zack mentioned before leaving last year, when you introduce an ICO, you remove the urgency and priority.

Shame he's left, it made it very personable to use rather these faceless big corp exchanges.

I would avoid using it from now on, everyone.

Merit me or don't.

Will EtherDelta ever be back??
This has something to do with the ICO they did?

In my opinion they aren't paying much attention to ED in order to make something with their tokens!

i thing ED never be back ! forget it
i already trade in forkdelta and its fantastic

I'm trying to cancel a BCAP trade.  Have placed the transaction successfully via metamask with many block  confirmations but nothing has happened.  TXID = 0xd9f9e79c143c0fdf2ea2461e6bf1744048e630eb0356686296bb7a9d22f14431.

Is Etherdelta known for just not executing the contract?
Similar issues.
I get the coins I trade in my wallet but I don't see the trade in the orderbook.

More people experiencing this?

It is a common thing with Etherdelta I guess. Try this, maybe help.

R.I.P. Etherdelta. First we had that hacker attack, now we have all these technical problems. Hopefully other decentralized exchanges will learn from all this and will take its place on the market.

I don't know why etherdelta is always facing the same problems, even after their ICO they are not improving the standards. In order to get reputable one should always focus on development so that user base will start increasing.
IIRC, per the roadmap from the ICO, they won't be making any improvements until Q2. That includes basic functionality evidently.

Can't wait to see how they handle transitioning to the new Etherdelta smart contract, lol.

If I transfer tokens from my wallet into the smart contract and Etherdelta goes offline, could I still get those tokens back into my wallet? Or am I in any way dependent on the ED interface?

You can always get your funds directly from smart contract. It is a bit more complicated but there is guide linked somewhere in this thread. Furthermore, forkdelta has been operational for some time now and they are actually an interface using the same ED smart contract. In my experience they are much faster and better performing at the moment. Should be legit.

I prefer ForkDelta as an alternative to ED. I use it without any problems for nearly a month so I think it's safe.
Also, I like the new design. It seems that the developers are really trying very hard to improve the platform.

I really like this exchange, there are many coins with Airdrops and Bounty there, but the commissions have become very large, is there an analogue of this exchange?  Kiss

I have started using forkdelta too. The only thing I make sure before I close the site is to transfer the ETH back to my wallet. I just leave little amounts of altcoins on their wallet.

IMHO the bold part doesn't make you any safer. It can only save you some time in case all interfaces for smart contract stop working. My reasoning follows. If I got something wrong please let me know.

Both etherdelta and forkdelta are just interfaces to the same etherdelta smart contract which has been proven as safe. Now if the new site (forkdelta) turns out to be a scam the attack will be in a form that they try to get your private keys. Same goes for etherdelta, if new owner decides to escape with funds he has to get your private keys. Smart contract is deployed to the ETH network and nobody can change it. They can just stop using it. In that case you can always get your money by interacting directly with the smart contract.

We can only enhance the security by using something like metamask (keeps private keys inside) instead of entering them to ED or FD. Or if you are extra paranoid you can use multiple ETH wallets. At least two, one for main ETH wallet and the other for all the airdrops and small ETH amounts.

I use Delta exclusively for low-cost tokens which are not listada on a normal exchange . usually you need 2-3 months after the ICO that would tokens listing on the stock exchange-Delta solves this problem if you need to sell urgently

Delta is very useful in case you need to quickly sell, but the volume of trading is so low, I hope that this will change for the better

The question whether it is legit or not made me stay away from Forkdelta until now. Is it safe to import private keys using their interface? Couldn't they be phishing for such info?

If I transfer tokens from my wallet into the smart contract and Etherdelta goes offline, could I still get those tokens back into my wallet? Or am I in any way dependent on the ED interface?

You can always get your funds directly from smart contract. It is a bit more complicated but there is guide linked somewhere in this thread. Furthermore, forkdelta has been operational for some time now and they are actually an interface using the same ED smart contract. In my experience they are much faster and better performing at the moment. Should be legit.

The question whether it is legit or not made me stay away from Forkdelta until now. Is it safe to import private keys using their interface? Couldn't they be phishing for such info?

They seem legit. However, site is only operational for short time so you can't be 100% sure. I would suggest that you use something like metamask to access it. That way they are not seeing your private keys.

use a separate wallet for this exchange and after the auction to withdraw toxins and Ethereum to a secure wallet .  I always do that, and it never happened ...
