HI HO Junk Miners Smiley

I setup a node for JunkCoin network.

At least we can update the block chain, transfer coinz in less than a decade and who wish to mine can get some confirmations Wink

LOL Smiley

# On Line till 09Th Nov 2013
addnode=95.110.156.226:9771

It seems that people like the new node, 50 +/- and counting LOL smiley.gif

Lets put some more sailors on those Junks, a?!?!?!

LOL smiley.gif

It's nice to see how many new trades are availabele now on Cryptsy after the NODE setup, maybe the NODE makes the difference LOL Smiley

Unfortunately the price has dropped from 0.00040000 LTC for 1 JKC to 0.00003 +/- Sad

But whan people will see the stability I hope the market will bust again Wink

I see with VERY BIG SATISFACTION that community has respond to the new node VERY VERY WELL Smiley

From yesterday I have about 50 connections/peers on the node, while in saturday whan I just post the IP of the new node I had hard time to update my block chain that now all the connected peers are sharing, that's AWESOME LOL Smiley

I'ts incredible how a little bit of work can change a whole market LOL Smiley

-----------
Jimmy wrote:
The price probably dropped because when you added that node people mined and dumped the coin after they mined a few.  Without any kind of base for the coin - the reason why you had to add a node in the first place - miners are just going to mine the coin and then sell off what they mined.  No one is mining the coin and keeping it, waiting for the price to rise.
-----

No mined coins, the block chain time stamp is fixed at "mar 5. nov 03:34:00 2013" Sad

I think that people who had Junks in home port now that the blokade is over had take the wind and start to move tham to market.

Acting with stategy "what is in, is in" thay are ready to sell all Junkz for a forth of the real price, so that's why, from my opinion the price dopped.

Well now that the market is again sailing with good winds I bought some Junks just as investment LOL Smiley

I'm organize myself to provide more nodes, I'll get more servers and I'll help the crypto community to survive.

I don't like the fact that people loose their time mining a new coin and than after a developing team scrue up thay lose not only the mined coins but all what thay invested in getting tham as money to get hardware, energy to power the miners and most important of all REAL LIFE TIME that will NEVER come back and no BTC will pay for it Wink

I have to start my MultyNode Project Wink

Why??
Because I know how, because I can and because I like it LOL Smiley

The pool has moved. The new address is

www.coin-base.org/jkccoin/

All your data and coins were transferred.
You must only change net to org.

There are now three different Stratumports with different difficulties.
Port 3457 for slow Miner - Pool_target 16
Port 4457 for normal Miner - Pool_target 32 (one share is two Poolshares)
Port 5457 for fast Miner - Pool_target 64 (one share is four Poolshares)

The node is down due to server upgrade.

I decided to start to provide the node in a better level thanks to so many connections, so
I get a dedicated server to do so.

A get a Dell R210 with 4 Xeon cores 16Gb or RAM and 2x450Gb15K HDD configured in a Raid 1,
a OK machine to provide better Junk Node as well as other coin nodes.

The update is also at OS level where I'll switch from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu) OS, no licence and a chance to get a deeper know how from that switch too Smiley.

If anything goes as scheduled tomorrow night (european time) the node will be up and running again with the following new IP:

# Junk Coin Perpetual Node

I'm also seeing "Mandatory Upgrade to Litecoin 0.8.6.1+." everytime I start Junkcoin-qt.  Anyone have a solution?  I have already upgraded my litecoin wallet but still see this message in Junkcoin.

This is an issue that many altcoin clients have/had.  The devs did not change the key for broadcasts and hence are listening to messages sent on the Litecoin network.  This is fairly simple for devs to fix in the client.

It's a little annoying but will not affect the operation of the client whatsoever.

I own a JKC P2Pool: http://jkc-pool.blockexplore.nl:19327/
It is hosted in EU (Amsterdam, NL).

Your JKC-wallet is the username, password does not matter.
Stats are available at http://jkc-pool.blockexplore.nl/

Fee is 2% for now, but when the pool-hashrate increases to > 100 MH/s for more than one day, I will decrease fees to 1%.

Quote
To set the difficulty for your specific hash rate multiply by 0.00000116
For example, if your miner is capable of 1440 Kh/s:

1440 * 0.00000116 = 0.0016704

Example Connection String for a miner capable of 1440 Kh/s:

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://jkc-pool.blockexplore.nl:19327 -u 7aF8G8jfSnxDTaDjEbHKfrxFEGxdZmMFD9+0.0016704 -p password --scrypt

The following difficulty settings can be used as a guide:

Kh/s        Difficulty
1           +0.00000116
50          +0.000058
100         +0.000116
250         +0.00029
500         +0.00058
750         +0.00087
1000        +0.00116
1500        +0.00174
1750        +0.00203
2000        +0.00232

I must say I am surprised at the recent surge of support and restart of the JKC community. After this coin hit the exchange, it was pumped and dumped like I warned and the community all but evaporated.

As the coins appointed developer, I was quite disappointed and thought the coin had died out. Well here we are and it appears a group has stepped forward and wants JKC revitalized.

Who am I to argue?   Wink

I have updated both the Github and Windows Binaires:

Windows Download: (UPDATED 12.29.2013)

The pool has moved. The new address is

You must only change net to org.

Port 4457 for normal Miner - Pool_target 32 (one share is two Poolshares)
Port 5457 for fast Miner - Pool_target 64 (one share is four Poolshares)

Pool Down ^-(

The pool changed to new hardware - now found at

http://coin-base.info/jkccoin/index.php and uses port 3457 only.  Has a small percentage of the network hash - currently 88MH/s relative to 491MH/s network.

I need other live pools to check in so I can place you in the OP.
