I keep seeing threads on “why don't people” ? The real question to me is Why would they ?

-The average consumer will go way out of their way to save money. Bitcoins cost more.
-The average consumer will usually pay a little extra to have convenience. Bitcoin is less convenience and more hoops and complications.

I just cannot see any reason for the average consumer to use Bitcoins. Until average consumers start using Bitcoins they will just be an experiment and a small speculative bubble.

I have my personal reasons, I am interested Bitcoins them as a tech person, speculative investor and person that follows evolving treads and markets. I am just struggling to see any.. benefits for the average consumer at this stage.

people use bitcoin to earn a lot of money here so many people pay for it but other people understand their bitcoin is just a scam so they report it to the government.

I think Bitcoin is just an investment for you, you still have to support a change that one day can make it a worthy currency for the masses, because that's what will give the greatest value of all crypto currencies.
If the developer agrees with that position, they will stop working on the scaling solution, and only fix some minor bugs. But it will make Bitcoin no different (except for the amount of hashing power) of any altcoin, because they all have very similar blockchain and structured features that accompany it.

You are right though but if you view it on a different you can see that bitcoin eases some transaction.Average people does not maximize its usage but if you look on peoples that constantly making deals, sending cash often and people who wants to buy frequently online but too damn lazy to leave the house,you can see that bitcoin is not absolute over real world money but more like a alternative and more convenient type of cash.

Bitcoin is very good for long term investment because of the market price that keeps on growing each day and if people will hold their coins for a very long time then the price of cryptocurrency will increase even more because the demand will keep on increasing and supply decrease due to people who are keep on holding their coin.
