Also the idea is they link all your personal info possibly with voice search so no looking for 20 related elements of a trip say in different apps.

I know it's the clique joke that's something is the new Google but actually that's what they would be competing with if they succeed.

Honestly I plan to long term hold. I absolutely know its a long shot but after watching the youtube of the guy behind it who has written famous books on the internet I just thought maybe this guys vision is where the internet and blockchain is going and maybe just maybe they might pull it off.

The key point is he is betting on the disruption of the blockchain to make a secure landing platform for the internet that blocks out security problems, decentralises your info in one place and destroys the monopoly of Google etc to own your info. Let me paint a picture. Imagine opening your phone or computer, going through some level,of security, fingerprint, password whatever. Then you are on a secure closed operating system that is decentralised. You could have icon for banks, crypto, emails anything but you wouldn't have to log in cause they would already be secure on your operating system. And add the fact your info is all there so can be used safely to serve your information needs. Want to book a holiday, no multiple apps just say where you want to go and the system can use all your info from banking to weather in that area to your schedule to link and sort the whole thing out. Personally I would start using that today if it was available.

For me there is a chance that Pillar could become the new google but it happening, like others said, is very unlikely, unless all people, using cryptocurrency or not, will realize that pillar is better than google. No one also needs to know it's better, people gravitate toward the most user friendly way to manage their information. Organiser of a organisation 20/30 to decentralise our life, a writer of a book called PULL that makes clear the future he sees for the internet. Initial distribution is key to ensuring it is not a high probability insider scam.

60 hr ICO is too short to ensure wide distribution it is therefore probably setting itself up for an insider market manipulation/collusion scam.
What's wrong they don't want more development funding? seems strange.

Go with fairly and widely distributed projects that have proven long term developments in crypto that have devs that are working through their road maps at a solid rate.

Don't matter if you release the  next possible big thing if you deliberately gear it to be too weighted as a self enrichment scheme by unfair means and insider collusion and manipulation then it deserves to be cloned and crushed and released more fairly.

These are not empty arguments and these are probably the most important parts of the crypto puzzle that need solving aside from decentralised exchanges. We need trustless provable fair means to distribute. POW was far better but development funding was the big issue there. ICO's especially these last for 2 seconds ones are a disgrace.

The problem with capable devs is that they are capable of great scams too.
