Reading about your project makes me very excited and I really hope you guys can pull it off
I have 2 questions regarding the project:
1) I was wondering if you can give some insight in the number of transactions (in USD or orders) that already take place on your 1000ecofarms.com?
2) This might be a stupid question because I'm still trying to get my head around crypto. What will be the effect of a value increase in the token. I assume you need the token to buy goods, but will goods get more expensive (in USD) if token value increases?

1) Unfortunately, I cannot give an  appropriate answer for the 1st question. As for the statistics, 1000ecofarms has 4000+ users registered, including 700+ farmers.
1000ecofarms is also our early adopter, and we plan to work with other platforms as well.
2) The product prces in FoodCoins will not be fixed. It will always depend on the local currency rates

Are you in communication with other sites like 1000ecofarms?

Currently not, but we are planning to.

1) May I ask why you do not have any numbers about this? Having users and farmers I assume that there is some form of interaction between them, else people lose interest and forget even about the website.

1000ecofarms has these numbers, but we cannot publish them. It has some average activity, but it is a recent project though, so this is one of the reasons to focus on farmers' education

Hi dev,
when discussing something about agriculture and its subsequent trade activities, it would be hard to say we have the only solution to the world problem. However I am very positive that FoodCoin initiative  will produce positive result and the farmers should earn better. I am saying this because in my country traditional fisherman, farmers, orchard owners are all deprived of their earning, most live in poverty because of the profiteering by the middle person.

And on another page, do look at some of Corporate Social Responsibility moves made by Loius Dreyfuss for example.https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6347382043919286273
They are deploying mobile app to track farmer's output and most probably similar to your product.

I wish you success and hope that your product will give significant impact for the farmers livelihood.

Do you guys have any patents?

FoodCoin is an officially registered trademark. The company is on the last stage of registration in Switzerland. Do you think we should register patents too?

If you have any proprietary technology, I think you should. The big boys are registering patents every day, if you guys have real tech innovation I think it would be best to protect it. If most of your innovation comes in your platform, or other less patentable avenues, then it's probably not necessary.

They have their own cryptocurrency called Cadastr, and as we mentioned in our blog:
"The combination of our organizations' efforts will create a much more transparent farming ecosystem in which illegal/illicit farming is not preferred because the legal farmers will be making more money while the community will directly see the benefits. When the legal methods of farming become more profitable than the illegal methods, it will not take much convincing to get farmers to follow the rules.
