No I dont think so. Thats an hypothetical and I also think optimistic amount. Further it is a total amount wich big players are generating for selling much more than only your data and more important: purposeful. Than there is also the Interface between you and the potencial buyer who wants its piece of the pie (;

Very good question. I don't want to let this question go off into the dozens of pages. Would love to hear an answer to this too

this is not only a god question... it is a essential question for the sucess of the project - i did not find the strategy out jet

This is only my opinion.
Data from datum will be more obvious and more trusted, because the data owner knows that theyre selling it, not giving it for free.
And little a little guess, i think datum will offer cheaper price than others.

Well considering that the data will be more accurate and was given for the client with a payment and that the platform allows for the data to be cheaper and more accurate, that will make the data more appealing rather than facebook and google, where they just take the data and use it or sell it.

I am not sure if this really will apply. I mean, first of all, I still think that Facebook, Google etc is in a position where they always can sell cheaper then all other. Second of all I think that companies are more happy with data batches instead of buying all the data they need one by one by one by one .... You know what I mean. Third I don't think that either Facebook or Google or Datum will have more accurate data or less acurate data, because they take the data from the same places in example from the apps or what ever.

Except a data from a popular person for news or magazine or something like that.

And this is why datum will provide data marketplace. This will be the place where companies will be able to buy data in huge packages from users

For me, it sounds more like the marketplace is not for batches of data, but for your personal sale opportunity. A company comes, says which data they search and then you can say yes or no, but as datum before said, you also have the option to negotiate prices. And then you end in the situation that as a company you need maybe to negotiate hundrets and thousends of individual cases in worst case. After a company made this maybe one time, they will just say "wtf, we will go again and buy regular batches at whatever place".

That's hypothetical but depending on the value of your date, since every data is not worth the same, it could be more in fact.
